    I'm personally pretty let down by this. I don't have very high expectations for Applewhite.

    I really like it. Herman had him completely run the offense. Recruiting successes were as much due to Major as to Herman.

    Just needs to put together an electric staff. Would be nice if Orlando hung around, but I suspect he'll go to UT. Seems like the AD made a mistake by appointing Orlando as interim coach and not Major. I'm sure it seems like more of a letdown to Orlando now that he didn't get the job.

    Gonna suspect that UH stook to their guns with the high buyout. We'll see when the figures get released but we know Riley got spooked by it and maybe Kiffin did as well.

    If Applewhite was so great, why did they name Orlando the interim head coach for the bowl game instead of him? They **** the bed big time on this hire.

    Wow, did not see this coming. I would be very underwhelmed by this if I were a Coog. Hopefully he'll prove you all wrong, but I just don't get this one.

    Riley should have gotten the job if he interviewed the best.

    If he left in 2 years, it would mean he did damn good things at UH. That's a good thing and would only make the coaching position even more attractive. I get it though from UH's side and the continuity will be a positive.

    Gross.... Orlando named HC for the bowl game but Major Applewhite the new head coach? LMFAO welp better find a DC.

    I strongly suspect Renu didn't sign off on Kiffin after talking to the folks at Tenn & USC.
