If this is over today it is because either: 1. The Rockets waived the physical that they originally requested. (This may have been done and not announced. It would explain putting him on the inactive list.) Or 2. They've worked out a better deal for both parties which they will execute today by making DMo a RFA again and then immediately signing him to a new contract. Or 3. They've already gotten a ruling on "under contract". (Not likely this soon. But I suppose theoretically possible.) Other than one of these, I can think of no other reason that this would end today.
So how will the Rockets use him? When Anderson is missing shots do you bring in D-Mo? Do you play him at the 5 when NeNe misses games? I thought playing the 5 might have contributed to injuring his back, and Montrezl earned his playing time. Right now, I see the only minutes for him are behind Anderson when NeNe is not sitting. I did like our small ball line ups too with Dekker, Harden, Gordon, and Ariza.
