    Most hated:

    1. Scottie Pippen
    2. Royce White (if he counts as a "Rocket")

Barkley, McGrady, and Lin are polarizing figures. Some hate them. Some love them.

As a Player, he was not hated. He was actually the most noble of them all.
When Pippen and Dream gone, he could have packed his bags, but he stayed to mentor younger players.

What people here are confused about, especially the younger folk are blending the TNT Commentator and the player together.
That's two different roles. two different words.

So Barkley is COMPLETELY off the list for me, as a PLAYER, he did WAY MORE than a DMO.

One other note: Barkley was a lot of fun to watch on the court. Even if we didn't win a championship with us, he was just fun to watch.

Count me as a fan of updates getting pulled out of mega threads, and Highlighted as Key Updates via Thread Titles.

It's the new media articles and member takes that are rehashing things that we are discussing that are questionable for new threads.
Here's my list of key news items that should be highlighted for summary reading as a Thread Title, and were
    1. SOURCE Nets will give Offer
    2. NEWS DMo signs Offer Sheet
    3. sha-zaam Morey will match
    4. NEWS Morey matches
    5. BimaThug highlightts the contract details and cap hits
    6. NEWS: DMo doesn't show for physical
    7. Larry Coon explains implications of Holding Out
    8. SOURCE: Utah has higher offer -- cyberx
    9. SOURCE: $6m bonuses are issue and Morey might renegotiate waive date for bonuses -- Watkins
    10. NEWS: DMo placed on Inactive List -- nba Official Scorer's Report for Lakers game
    11. SOURCE: Morey blocks #8 above/Utah by declaring no rescinding of offer -- Feigen
Who's with me. Those are all Thread worthy, because many here don't have time to read through massive threads to find these main topics being discussed

Nice job, I asked @FTW Rockets FTW to compile that list earlier, but he was too full of popcorn to type. Nicely done.

Some of these topics could be merged together. There's really no real point in starting a new thread every time an article comes out. Especially for a average role player at best.

Pippen, Elliot, Fisher are all my least faves. Elliot and Fisher never actually came either.

100% agree with you. Most of us just want this to end. So the Rockets can move on without this distraction. I vote Royce White as most hated...worthless. We just wanted that bad man to go away.

Why Sean Elliot? That was a good thing, No Big Shot Horry without that failed trade.
Also he failed cause he had serious kidney issue.

This is a strange 'hated' reason, kidney disease.

Not hated but the longer he stays off the court, the more irrelevant he become to us and all NBA teams. The current contract would make him the 4th highest paid Rocket behind Harden, Anderson and Gordon. For a backup bench player coming off 2 back surgeries and has a dunce of an agent, that's more than fair.

Take the money or go back to Vancouver and try to live on the cheap while you become more irrelevant...whatever...

I voted no, but my vote will change when he AWOLs, or change uniform.

The Rockets qualifying offer was less than $5 mil. x 82 games. D-Mo could play just about 15 games
until Jan 10 & collect $5 mil. He actually won..I'm not sure if that qualifying offer bumped upwards...though.

The QO is just a formality to get the ball rolling in the RFA world. It's his agent's job to get a better offer. Once that didn't happen, he could have signed the QO and been an UFA. He didn't choose that route. Morey gave him a fair offer without outbidding himself. He didn't choose that route. He finally found an offer from another team. Signed it. Morey matched. His new route is to sit out because his agent doesn't know the details of a RFA contract. He hasn't gotten a dime yet and he hasn't won until he plays the contract he signed.

I think he is the most talked-about rockets player ever though.

Yes, that's my understanding. If D-Mo signed the QO the two parties could have worked on new terms
while playing for the qualifying offer amount. He would have been moved to Unrestricted Free
Agent at seasons end if no extension agreed upon.
