No one else is paying 10M for him right now, why would he expect 16M at this point?
I wonder if this is Dmo's idea or his agent's idea.

Why won't you research the situation and understand what is happening here?

Lmao I just read one of his posts . First of all it's incredible he knows the dollar amount of the "Utah deal" . Secondly he suggests we beat that deal by about 4 million per year ... For the same number of years !!!

    Truly special stuff

Basketballholic isn't really a bad guy. And some of his takes, although unpopular, are really good.

Right now though, he's lost his ****ing mind.

Also, even though he might argue his insane points into the ground, he never really (to my knowledge) starts attacking posters.

All of that is more I can say for DD.

Hence, DD is a better pick for the ignore list than Holic.

I agree that I actually like basketballholic posts. What bothers me is that he pretends his information is insider information when it clearly isn't and that he constantly pivots when wrong. I wish he would just admit he is theorizing because then people could banter with him without issue.

Yeah exactly. I actually enjoyed most of his posts before he started to pretend being an insider.

He can call it whatever (scouring the Internet for info) he wants, but everyone should know when to just say "hey I was expecting an outcome like this, but it didn't work out."

    That's really all.

It's okay to stick to your points, but it makes you look really bad if you're not willing to update them as things change.

That's the real issue with Holic.

I don't agree when people say he's a troll. He just has unpopular opinions, a good number of which have proven to be true in the past.

I noticed that in the box score too

    It had " DNP - Coach's Decision "

SHOULD be "DNP - Agent Dumb Decisions"

BBH is definitely BJ Armstrong...both are showing similar signs of understanding the situation.

DMo is ****ed, unless the Rockets want to be nice.

The rockets should probably match the incentives on the condition that he change his agent

Morey would have never put himself in that position. Backing yourself into a corner and limiting your options isn't Moreys style. He's pragmatic and exhausts his resources to have as much knowledge as possible of any given situation so he may make a decision off risk/reward. Meanwhile, BJ is trying to turn on his tv with a calculator.

I actually did un-ignore him about a week ago just because the DMo threads got weird with people like heypartner and Batman Jones talking to a ghost.

Well, DMorey is still up... (just tweeted 2min ago about enjoying having Chuck Hayes at the game and Pat, Dekker and Montrezl having Hayes like effort/plays.) So DMo and his agent might still have time to fix this?

I don't know what you've done to annoy so many posters, I don't read every post. I have nothing against you. But to respond to your statements that I've quoted, the main reason I think it comes off as absurd is that you're talking as if Houston is in desperate need of an addition right now, but we both know that is definitely not the case. We are doing great this season so far and the team is exceeding everyone's expectations, as well as the players individually. You're also talking about a player that has been in the league for four seasons yet only has had one good season, which wasn't his most recent, and was cut short with a back injury that carried over into the start of the following season. So there is little to show that he could be what takes us into an even higher level of play. So suggesting they should reconstruct his contract by giving him more money as if the figure you suggested isn't absurd, or that they can't not pay him for failing to show up is ludicrous.

Also, even though this isn't as big of deal as everything else, you don't acknowledge the risk that letting a player who, we just decided hasn't accomplished much, force the organizations hand can affect how situations are dealt with this team involving other players in the future.

Should have signed the 4.4 million one year deal become an unrestricted free agent at seasons end because under D'Antoni, Dmo would have had some really good numbers and his bargaining power would have been pretty good at seasons end.

I usually am more sympathetic with players when they ask for more money, especially in the NFL. However, I am not sympathetic to those who do not honor contracts WHICH they signed. Even if the incentives don't add in DMO's favor, it just means his agent is bad at making a contract. Players should always honor contracts unless they are egregiously low like rookie contracts. This is a terrible move by DMO

Daryl Morey just tweeted this in Chinese Weibo:

"To All Rockets Fans who are concerned about D-Mo's situation: please be patient. The situation will hopefully be resolved in next few days. Thank you"
