BJ could agree to waive his commission which would make up most of the "likely incentives" DMo lost due to BJ incompetence. This is win win for the Rockets and DMo. BJ could avoid being sued by DMo as part of the agreement.

Meanwhile, Rockets keep winning games, in dominant fashion no less...

Man I love D-mo, and think he could really help this frontcourt but this is making him look extremely bad right now.

His sorry ass agent keeps getting him deeper and deeper into it. BJ Armstrong is clearly an incompetent agent when it comes to dealing with these more complicated contracts. He needs to just get his ass on the floor so he can start making money, because he has no feet to stand on with this holdout. And if I were another team, why would I want to deal with an unproven guy that may not honor the contract he signs.

With every Rockets W, DMo becomes less valuable and more of a pain to deal with for this team. I can see Maury just letting him go.

What do you mean by letting D-Mo go? By acquiescing to BJ's demands? Barring pressure from the NBA overlords, I do not see Morey backing down to that idiot. Morey might be a nerd, but dude is straight ruthless.

Another awesome win and finally an easier schedule makes it easy to forget about this situation with DMo. I'm sure Les and Morey feel the same, no sweat for now. Meanwhile, DMo ain't cashing no checks. They're ready whenever he is.

Is BJ really a bad manager, or is he doing everything he can for his client to get the millions that Morey is trying to worm his way out of in a contract the rockets matched?

I love Dmo's skills and kinda respect him for saying **** you to a team that tried trading him a season ago while saying they want him back

Just think D-Mo, the sooner you get back the quicker you can get a piece of this hot action and get your stats hyper inflated in MDA's offensive machine.

You are very off base in that. Everybody is in universal agreement this is on BJ for not realizing the details of a restricted offer. The Rockets merely declined something they were in no means obligated to take on, the same thing literally every other team would do in the situation.

There is no argument for D-mo here, his agent f**ked up.

Morey isn't trying to worm his way out of anything. In no way was there any obligation on the Rockets to EVER pay those incentives. The contract matched was 4 years $31mill. It was only $6mill higher if the Rockets refused to match.

So eventually DMo needs to realize he is pointing the finger the wrong way. The moron is BJ for getting it all wrong...
Or maybe the problem is that his back really is screwed, and he will never again have a meaningful stretch of games like he did for half a season (one time). And he's upset because he wants that final payday...

Honestly, **** D-Mo. None of this is necessary. Just get your ass into gear. Go negotiate with Morey. Get this sorted out and get on the court to help this team get even better.

He's acting like a gigantic moron at the moment.

That being said, I'd like to clear one thing up again. An NBA season is roughly 6 months. D-Mo played 5 1/2 months in 14-15.

    That's not "half a season."

    Carry on.

I feel like DD should have taken advantage of Holic's stupidy by being more reasonable. Distancing himself from Holic and making him the official laughing stock of this forum. It's disappointing to see he has instead insisted upon one-upping Holic.

All because of one girl.. I think? Or was it a player.

The good news for Dmo is that he has a lot of $ saved up. Now how much they start fining him could sway him one way or another if the Rockets decide to go that route.

I really do not understand your stance other than it stays in line with your consistent pro Dmo/anti Rockets' management position. But in the real world it makes absolutely no sense. The rockets don't need to be in the business of negotiating contracts for players and their agents with other teams. They did what they needed to do and the Rockets matched. Report to work. End of story.
