Collin McHugh isn't a multi-millionare. He's been making $500K the last 3 years, and peanuts before that. He's a guy that understands tomorrow isn't guaranteed. He's about to get a big raise though.

    Sweet correction bro.

    let me rephrase for you....

"it's cool to see a guy making $530,000 a year drive a car worth $5,000 (maybe)"

    The points the same

Vehicles are referred to as females, aren't they? The Mother Ship!!!!

Hondas are the most reliable cars. My first 3 rides were Accords and all were abused.

    Nice haul for an OF

Source confirms: #Nationals, if deal is completed, will send Lucas Giolito, Dane Dunning and Reynaldo Lopez to #WhiteSox for Eaton. Prospect rankings by http://MLB.com had Giolito at No. 1 for #Nationals, Lopez No. 3, Dunning No. 6. Gets Nats five years of Eaton. - Ken Rosenthal

The Nationals offered Giolito, Lopez, Dunning, and Robles for Chris Sale. They just traded Giolito, Lopez, and Dunning for Adam Eaton. - Jorge Castillo

The Astros won't select any players in the major league portion of tomorrow's Rule 5 draft. They may do so in the minor league portion. - Jake Kaplan

    Is Quintana next?

I don't like that trade for Nats.

Holy crap, that's a LOT for an OF!! Does this mean the Nats just blew their load, and can't contend for Quintana, or does that mean the asking price for Quintana is so outrageous that they would rather settle on Eaton??

Could mean a lot of things!

Maybe they like Martes and Tucker more?

    They are unloading this offseason.

That is a ton for Eaton. Of course Eaton is criminally underrated.

The best part of the Astros farm system isn't the top 2-3 prospects, it is the players in the lower minors and depth.

I can't agree. The Astros system is very deep in quality prospects, it lacks the elite prospects.

I don't know if Luhnow will deal Martes or Tucker. I am personally fine with the Astros sitting tight with what they have in the rotation and waiting until the deadline. Pitching is volatile.

I knew Eaton would get a good return.... 5 years of team control, very low salary, excellent defense and an underrated bat.

Having said that.... I didn't think the Sox would get THAT much.

The White Sox deserve some credit for trading for Eaton and Quintana.

    I didn't realize Quintana had a 5.2 WAR in 2016. Damn!

Now if they can pull this deal without Springer or Tucker being involved then homerun.

    Martes/Whitley/Cameron?

If they acquire Quintana do folks think they might circle back to EE? Those two moves give me the "all-in" vibe :). Overall though I'd be extremely happy with Quintana plus Beltran, Reddick, and McCann

If they popped EE for three years on top of that while retaining Springer.

    Super team.
