Bad Management and My Mistakes

    My plan was a strategic two weeks notice.

    They made their move before I could set that in motion. It was cold turkey.

    I was caught off guard.

    My biggest take away from this is that if you're going to jump ship, keep those cards close to your chest until you have something secured. Sounds like a true blessing in disguise. I'm sure you'll find something better. Having good management is so key. M's boss couldn't have done anything to her because she was pregnant. A pregnant woman is like a HR landmine. Whatever you do to her, she could end up suing you for discrimination. Unless you have a recording of her calling your all sorts of names, there's really nothing you can do.

    Honestly it got to the point I was being bullied. As a man, that is really hard to say but I had someone with power over me abusing it to make my life miserable. It absolutely took some life out of me toward the end.

    Retaliation was thought of in emotional moments but level headed I'm a believer in Karma.

    I feel bad for the people who will have to endure it moving forward.

    If the sales numbers continue to slide, the moment she comes back from maternity leave, she'll be fired. Karma is a b*@ch...she will have it coming. Good luck to you bro. What industry are you in?

    I commend you for your courage but, if you really wanted to remain employed and not be fired, then you are better off just staying out of it or in the neutral zone. Talking about people negatively in either the grapevine or going over their heads is a risky way of conducting yourself and doesn't always turn out fairly even if you are on the right side. As far as telling your close co-worker about interviewing and then that person squealing, you still owe that person an earful. Not cool.

    I actually agree with this. I disclosed this information to help others who may be in similar situations as well as expose my personal life as many on here have done. It's interesting the things that we learn from life experiences. Going above someone's head typically does not end up well no matter what side you are on. I believe I showed that.

    My coworker did hurt me terribly, but lesson learned may have been more beneficial for me in the long run.

    Just to mess with them, file for unemployment for termination without cause. The TWC will send them a letter asking them to explain cause. They'll have to put something in writing or let their unemployment tax get dinged.
