the Rockets didn't strip anything from what is supposed to be matched as per the CBA

wasn't his agent and DMO aware that only the primary offer will be matched? or at least there was a very high probability that will happen?

which of those 4 options satisfies all 3 of DMO's needs below?

    1a. get paid
    1b. play
    1c. control his destiny

Not necessarily. He got buried behind Terrence in 13-14 without being outplayed. This sort of thing happens all the time.

He did 0a and 0b last season. And he could've done it a lot sooner too.

and last season, didn't he get paid, and given a chance to play and control his destiny?

so for now he does not want to get paid, and given a chance to play and control his destiny

He's already proven he can play. If he were unrestricted he'd have signed for $40-60 million.

There's a counter to every "show up and prove it" remark. That's why we are here.

He busted nut for us in 14-15. Held the fort down by playing out of position replacing Dwight while Dwight was out. He went through the back thing, recovers, and was ready to go a lot earlier than when we unleashed him. And he proved he was healthy at the end of last season. We weren't worried about him passing a physical then.

Great response. Even if there's only a 10% chance of DMo benefiting from it, i can see why he would take the chance.

The only new information I've gotten from this piece is that at least one writer for the Washington Post follows Clutchfans. Otherwise, there's nothing new here. This might be the first DMo thread worth shutting down.

I'm sure they were. But.....We could've honored those incentives. And DMo could have honored the physical. We didn't and he didn't. LOL.

Restricted free agency is a dirty business.

Think about it. Those incentives don't hurt our cap in any way. Why would you strip them especially when they are performance based? That was nothing but a middle finger from Morey. LOL. Restricted free agency is a dirty business.

so abiding by the long established rules is a middle finger now?

why did he sign the offer when as per the rules and by default, only the primary offer was going to be matched?

and why be mad now when they know it was going to happen?

has there ever been a situation where a team the primary offer and also matched the incentives?

Stripping incentives is not a rule. It's an option.

What makes you think anybody is mad here? They're not. This is business.

As I stated, Morey is not required to strip those incentives. He chose to. Why did he choose to do that when they don't affect the cap? There's only one reason. It was a nice little middle finger to BJ/DMo. LOL. They gave it right back to him. They're middle finger was not to show for the physical. LOL. You should be able to see that.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic. He's had ONE decent season in 2014-15 where he averaged 12 pts and 5.9 reb, everything else has been mediocore at best (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/6464/donatas-motiejunas). And yet you're saying he should be getting $40-60 million, o_Oo_Oo_O. This is hilarious.
