You seem to have a lot of knowledge so I'll ask you this; if Dmo were to fail his physical by the Rockets what would happen?

This was brought up in another thread and I genuinely want to know.

Also people like those DMOF maniacs here need to realize this cold hard fact.

Your beloved idol remains unsigned one month into the season not because he is too awesome and teams afraid the Rox will match the max contract they are going to offer, its the fact that he is a damaged good and only the worse team in the league is willing to take a shot at him because majority of the roster in the Nets are Dleague level players,

and even that, he is still only able to get a partially guaranteed contract.

If he is that awesome, at least he and his agent can construct a poison pill contract and make it hard on the Rox to match it.

Obviously, he has zero bargaining power to make it happened.

So stop acting like they can somehow manipulate the system to become a RFA again and then teams will be lining up to offer him another awesome contract again.

    Dream on.

So if he will fail the physical, obviously the Rox will not sign him. And what makes anyone will believe another team will be such dumb fork to sign a player will fail the physical? Or will anyone actually dumb enough to believe he can "fake a fail physical" so that he can get a free pass from the Rox?

If anyone knows how a failed physical would actually play out I'd like to know.

He already passed the Nets, our physical could require a higher level of scrutiny especially now that were tryin gentlemen to run so much. They won't want to take any gambles

If he fails our physical he will likely go back to the Nets

As reported, the Rockets have submitted a First Right of Refusal notice contingent upon DMo passing the physical. I believe if we reject him on physical, he becomes a Net...as if we never matched.

So... will they screw the NETs this time if Rockets fail him on the physical, rescind the First Rights..etc.

Should have just not matched the offer... D-Mo's time here should have ended months ago. He isnt worth all this nonsense.

He should just go in and fail the physical. Act like his back hurts and it lacks strength/flexibility.

Actually, if he will fail the physical, the Rox will be more than happy to send him out of the door.

Why would you take a broken and untradable player in that situation?

Correct, per Coon's reply in blog:

Passing a physical is a contingency on the First Refusal Exercise Notice. If he fails Houston’s physical, the FREN is voided, so Brooklyn’s offer sheet would become a contract.

If he indeed will have serious injuries and will fail the Rod physical, then even he will go back to the Nets, he will be more than likely to get cut in March if not earlier and basically he is done.

And no, Keith Jones maybe a dumb fork, but still don't believe anyone can fake a fail physical with any NBA team.

Of course, if Dmo actually hates the Rox that much, he can jump down from third floor while carrying a safe on his back and then it will pretty much get it done, together with his career done too.

I think if Motiejunas fails the Rockets' physical exam, he automatically becomes a Net.

The Nets have already given him a physical and were satisfied with what they found, so it doesn't seem that Houston's physical would have any bearing.

I'm thinking there had to be a point at which BJ asked DMo if he is willing to sit out the majority of the season (or even full season), and DMo must have said he doesn't mind. That's the only reasonable explanation why BJ is being so ****ing reckless. I mean, no competent agent would do these types of stunts if their client really wants to play ASAP, right? So it's probably even for the better for the Rockets, since DMo might not even be that eager to come back to the court.

If DMo sits out the season it doesn't help him.
His contract terms don't commence until he passes/ fails physical.

If he opts to sit out, more than likely he is done.

Doesn't he become a UFA on March 1st if the Rockets decide not to keep him?
