Between Armstrong Rose and Rose's bro the one who is most responslble though isn't him for the fallout. As much as he may suck as an agent, to give him the blame for that is not fair. Rose's bro influences Rose MUCH more than any agent would. Besides it's not like any agent would be able to hold any superstar from playing the playoffs if the player desired to play.
Got a couple of questions if anyone has knowledge of this kind of situation. Can they waive the physical and fine him until he shows up? If they put him back into RFA can the nets make another offer? What would the Rockets options have been if he failed the physical?
Except you just release him after matching because there will be plenty of nuances in the contract no matter who offers him
I feel for Dmo here - BJ is trainwrecking his career not only in Houston but around the league. It's one thing when your a D Rose type of player, but Dmo does not hold the same standing around the league and his value has been more promise than earned reputation. BJ is horribly misplaying his hand...that being said, Dmo needs to man up and kick BJ to the curb. If he doesn't see how bad this is for his career, then maybe he deserves it. ...I get that BJ has a beef with the RFA game, but don't punish the players when you hate the game. There is a mechanism for that in the CBA negotiations - no sense in fighting a system the players agreed to only a few years earlier.
Think you have wrong person in mind. I never asked. IMO however, this is entirely on D-Mo as it's ultimately his decision.
Rudy, Diaw, Whitey, and Lyles all in front of him. 2 are better than him at this point. What I'm saying is he will still be a backup yet he's looking to be a starter
There is no harms done to the Rockets, Dmo is only damaging his own future playing in the NBA. Do you really think any other team will be willing to offer him a contract after all these?
The one play that D-Mo can really make at this point to save his reputation would be to fire BJ and claim it was all his idea. "Guys, I wanted to sign months ago, but I kept being told blah, blah, blah." Wouldn't be the world's most believable thing, but it is salvageable and everyone would forget 2 months from now.
