I suspected this might be DD's fault somehow. Personally, I find that forgive and forget is much easier now that senility has snaked its way into my life.
DMo's Rights: 1. Sign an offer sheet that can be matched or not matched by the Rockets 2. Play basketball overseas 3. Don't adhere to the CBA and stop playing basketball I guess he's going with the 3rd option? Bold move. *This does not include the qualifying offer that BJ/DMO moronically decided to pass on leading to this hilarity
Seriously..... He was my favorite player the last two years. But I hate stunts like this.... I see no positive outcome for this situation.
Except that they're not an option anymore. According to the rules, he can't sign with them for a year.
sorry Dmo , it may be that you have a bad agent , but after this stunt not even dd or btg can back you up . Maybe the rfa system sucks but if you really want to leave then have the foresight to take the QO
Well if I understood Woj's tweet correctly, he can't sign with the nets anymore until next year if the Rockets put him back on the RFA
What the hell is BJ talking about? You have no rights. You either report for the physical or you risk losing everything.
Pretty unbelievable to say the least. Especially when he led the Rockets on that he would be happy either way just three days ago. Also as his reps have noted (through the previous twitter account) that if this is because he is mad because the Rockets waited all three days to match, D-Mo is an uninformed idiot about his own profession and an egomaniac who doesn't understand that the Rockets had to made the tough decision to waive a player, and needed to do the right thing to explore trades first. Again this also comes back to poor mgmt from BJ and the other folks in his ear. Honestly at this point I'm thinking the best course of action is to send him back in RFA, send him back Europe, and if he is lucky enough to find another offer, don't match. I don't think other teams are going to want to touch this guy now honestly. Maybe a one year deal is the best he will get. D-Mo and BJ have completely destroyed a pretty promising NBA career potentially if he doesn't make it right with the Rockets. Reputation matter in the NBA. Just go ask Michael Beasley.
