#3. MEDIA CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!! http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...ckets-pass-slumping-cavs-bucks-biggest-mover/ 3. Now THAT is the definition of a good win. The Rockets went into Oracle and handed the mighty Warriors an L in double overtime in a game where they very much outplayed Golden State. They followed that up by notching a win in Denver in what was the very definition of a schedule loss. Patrick Beverley is a plus-44 in his past two games over just 57 minutes.
I am aware of that, was just pointing out an opinion many thought might have happened. Obviously it didnt.
As we were saying all game long in the Denver Game Thread, covering many years, Denver at home wins at around 80% when the opponent is away on a B2B and like 85% when it is a double away B2B ... and this had the trap game affect of being B2B after GSW. Pretty sure everyone who understands how B2Bs work had this as a "scheduled lose." From the Washington Post "And they just completed what will be one of the best sweeps of a back-to-back set this season: winning a double-overtime thriller at Golden State Thursday night before arriving in Denver at 5 a.m. local time and winning a game at altitude against the Nuggets Friday night." And here's a good (although 5yrs old) article of B2B's in general, and Denver's record. http://www.denverstiffs.com/2010/3/22/1385376/back-to-backs-the-myth-vs-the
Without Beverly we look like a 46 win team. With him we look like a 53 win team. The +/- supports that, but it's not like he's that big a playmaker. I think it just speaks to how Beverly in rotation puts everyone else in their right place. And it gives us someone who can at least execute the offensive sets when Harden sits.
3rd game in 4 nights if I remember right, in high Altitude Denver of all places after a 2OT game victory over the Warriors. Yeap, should have been a loss but wasn't.
