are you talking about net +/-? because they aren't. they are just talking about how much atlanta outscores or is outscored by their opponents and there are only two situations. howard on the court and howard off the court. howard's on +/- and his off +/- have to add up to atlanta's total +/-. they've been outscored by 79 when he is on the court. they've been outscored by 71 when he's off the court so they've been outscored by 150.

howard actually had an insane -3 tonight in 28 minutes. which means atlanta was outscored by 41 points in the 20 minutes he wasn't on the court!

Hawks already imploding? I'm sure it's James Harden's fault.

So you are basically comparing Howard's -71 to 8 to 11 players aggregate of -79?

Next to Howard in the last 10 games, who has the worst +/-???

Dwights a bum half he's not on the team anymore.

I'm happy what he brought to houston the first two years, but last year he showed he just doesn't have the juice anymore.

I havent really been following the Hawks so i really dont know if Dwights the cancer over there or what. But reading that they lost by 42 points, that sure caught my eye.

And to think that last year, lots of people on this forum were saying we should trade Harden to get pieces to build around Howard.

Last year, the big problem IMO is that our two top guys didnt work in a complimentary fashion. We probably would have been better than last year if we had built a team to compliment Dwight. But that team would have never been as good as a team built around Harden.

While the pieces are important, how the pieces fit together (play together) is just as important is my point.

It's ironic because, chances are last year before the trade deadline, Porzingis for Howard would have been feasible. I like Anderson and his shot but I think the Porz has more to his game inside.

Nah, Phil didn't even tried to sign Dwight this summer, he would've never trade Porz for Dwight, i mean, it would've been one of the most dumb and embarassing trade ever made.

Can you give us an idea of what that team might look like?

It's weird as hell to see Hawks fans referring to him as D8.

Just wondering how would u build around Dwight? Surround him with 3 point shooters even though he always turns over the ball once u double team him in the post?

When Horford left at the thought of playing with Howard the Hawks proceeded anyways. The Knicks couldn't afford Howard if they had to pay Rose later on... But I think they were willing to take a chance of Melo-Rose-Howard-Noah as a backup or whatever pieces less Porzingis .

Nah, Horford was a free agent, and he made his decision to sign with Boston after Dwight decided to sign with Atlanta so...i guess he didn't like the idea of being a teammate of Dwight that much.

My point is there was a small window before that trade deadline where many teams had the delusion that Dwight just needed to be motivated more and that prior Play Off run where he was somewhat spectacular was the selling point. They didn't really comprehend the overall low-ball IQ and being the first option when Howard wasn't capable. It's now too late and the Hawks are stuck with him at his current salary.
