the loss of Joseph and insertion of Charles james really opened up the game for greenbay. James should have played barenaked like in the pregame might have played with more vigor.

so 9-7 and 8-8 wins the division.

    My predictions for quotes:

O'Brien - "We battled. Certainly it's a tough loss in a tough place to play, but we still have four games left and we're sitting in a good spot as far as the playoffs go. This team is not done. The offense has some things to work on. I'm not going to dwell on them. They're well documented. We're going to come in Monday and work hard to prepare for the Colts."

Osweiler: "That was a hard fought game. I wish I could have played better. We could have played better as a team. That's a hell of a team we just played. This offense will get better. We've got to go out and finish out the season strong."

I think it's too soon to say that for sure. Derek Carr looked like garbage his first year in Oakland and his O line wasn't as bad as what Osweiler has had to deal with.

I'm not saying Osweiler is going to be awesome, but I think the could end up being good enough for a team built to win with defense. Add Kevin Johnson, Clowney, and Watt to the game and the Texans probably win even with the garbage O line. Give the Texans back their starting RT and C and it probably looks even better. Given that he's going to be the guy next year no matter what, I'm willing to wait and see what he looks like with the team he was supposed to have with some experience in the system.

Also, I'm hoping Nuk plays better next season and that this year is just a fluke bad season for him.

That's fair enough, and you're right that he's the QB next year regardless. I have no idea what Brock could do in an ideal situation. Like we've mentioned many times, nobody on O is really helping him out, the coach included. How much of that is on who I also have no idea.

Serious question: would you be ok with the entire regime/coaching staff getting 1 more year, with a focus on fixing the glaring holes on the team, and if it doesn't work then start over in '18?

The only games that matter are the 3 remaining division games, they win those, they make the playoffs. They sat Clowney to ensure he was 100% for next week against the Colts.

Absolutely. Give them next year and then start cutting nuts if you don't see a LOT of improvement.

How many dropped-INTs did Brock throw last season?

    He's averaging 2.5/game this year.

    LeBron James hashtag is #striveforgreatness
Bob McNair's hashtag would be #striveformediocrity

When all else fails, blame injuries.

Sounds like he's coaching pop warner. "We played hard and every player will get a participating trophy and a juice box"

I don't understand how you can even say Derek Carr looked like garbage his first year when he had 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Brock already has 13 interceptions with 14 touchdowns. If Carr was garbage then Osweiller is the sewer seepage below the garbage. If Brock was playing as good as Carr did his first year then we probably would have won a few more games this year.
