Muslims I do know, openly state that many of their fellow Muslims are backwards, just as many Christians I know do the same about backwards Christians. Either way, Pew Research has asked hundreds of thousands of Muslims worldwide. It is kind of what they do. Their polling stats are some of the most respected in the world. I'm not sorry I take their word over yours.

Your ignorance clearly knows no bounds. I am a man of facts, not conjecture. Do you know how polls work? They clearly explain their methodology for all of their polls. If you think Pew Polls are a joke, you need to learn a thing or two. The margin for error in their polls is usually at most 4-5%, with most actually being within 3% - because of how they ask their questions. Even at the most extreme margins for error in the polls I listed, a huge chunk of the Muslim population (45% or more) believe in Sharia law.
99.9% of Muslims think a dude who walks around a school and starts stabbing people is a crazy extremist no ifs, ands, or buts. You want to change my view? I think you would be surprised about how many would justify his attack. The term extremist is subjective. But I'll assure you its more than .01% who are intolerant of non muslims.

This is right and wrong. Capturing macro level data on everyone allows data scientists and intelligence officials to look for "patterns" or "hotspots" in the data to identify potential events and terrorist cells. It is working very well. Palantir has helped stop multiple larger attacks in the US and abroad, and proactively led to the capture of multiple cells of people that want to do harm, so Snowden is incorrect on that front. They don't care about your individual internet traffic or cell phone calls. They care about your internet traffic and cell phone calls when bundled with everybody else's, looking for statistical anomalies, patterns, and hotspots. What you are correct on, however, is that type of macro level data analysis can't single out these lone wolf style attacks. There are just too many people spouting off hateful ideology on the internet that never act upon it to nail the one that will.
