Same here, i thought the Wizards had the W but well...they still suck. Got to give some props to Westbrick though, i don't really like his game, but at least he never gives up.
There were so many games on my attention was severely divided. Do teams double Westbrook the way they do James Harden? I mean, stop Westbrook from getting a triple double, and OKC loses, right? Is Westbrook so aggressive it doesn't matter?
I don't think Westbrook gets doubled like Harden outside, but lack of shooters does allow the defense to lock down the paint or so they think. Westbrook speed, athleticism is so crazy that at times a defender blinks and he is gone so it's harder for defense to focus in on him vs Harden who likes to set things up before making his moves which in turn allows defense to be set. Earlier this season, I kept reading from posters that were trying to discredit Westbrooks rebound saying his teammates move out the way, that is false af. Not only does he go and get them out of no where, he even gets those rebounds on offense over the other teams players (a good 2-3 a game). I guess the other team players move out the way too.
Yep, he got 4 or 5 o.rebounds tonight, and it's not the first time. Sometimes i see Harden staying way too far from his man on defense and very close to the paint, not gonna lie, it looks like he does this to be closer to get a rebound and then he gets burned trying to recover...
How is the loss on Rubio? Did Derrick Rose go off? Yeah, he's not a scorer whatsoever but at least he knows he's not and only takes like 4 or 5 shots a game. Also now with Lavine and Wiggins being the focal point on the perimeter they are the ones controlling the ball and playmaking instead of Rubio. The reason the Wolves are so bad is because they can't close games, which is primarily on Wiggins and Lavine as they primarily have the ball in their hands. I agree the Wolves do need to trade Rubio because he's completely useless on this team as a guy standing in the corner. Might as well trade him and get some guy who can at least shoot.
