Might not be as bad as you guys think. No mention of any spinal cord involvement or cord compression or neurological deficits. Could be a spinous process or something with a hairline fracture. Could be nonoperative, could be bad. Need more info.
Exactly. Some reports about 6-8 weeks, so it isn't a death sentence. I fully expect the Grizz to remain a playoff team
If the Grizzlies can give a max contract to Conley with a vertebrae fracture, Rockets can stop being cheap & pay D-Mo (with his back). DD
Bad news for them. Good opportunity for the rockets. This is the time to push for that 4th seed early in the season and build a cushion while conleys out
I am not making fun of him, and I am not glad he is injured. I am making fun of the Grizzlies for overpaying an injured prone. LOL
I guess maybe you're joking, but if the Rockets had got Conley it would have set off an entirely different pattern of events and possibilities including not getting injured. So the only way we can look at this is that Conley must have some regret for not signing with Houston.
The fortunate part for the Grizzlies on the basketball front is that the toughest slate of games for them occurs during Conley's time out. If they can manage to hold their heads above water until he gets back, they're still going to be in the playoff hunt.
I am not really happy he got hurt. I am just a troll who is making fun of the Grizzlies organization for overpaying an injured prone player. Don't get me wrong, I like Conley, but I think he is overpaid, and has a history of injuries. LMAO at the Grizzlies!
Woooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That is terrible. And the NBA's most expensive player this year. That's just crazy. Terrible news for any player, but Mike Conley is one of the handful of guys playing right now I really admire. Damn. Grizzlies just cannot catch a break man.
The Grizzlies battled like hell last year so I wouldn't write them off. Competition in the West for seeds 4-8 will be tough. Rockets, Grizzlies, Thunder, Jazz, Blazers and now Lakers!
Damn. I was laughed at when I drafted him high in our fantasy, and he'd been balling for me so far this season. Will most likely take longer to get back than the initial estimate. Fingers crossed the Rockets can build up enough of a buffer over that time to help them for playoff seeding.
