Glad there was no loss of life from victims and that the attacker was stopped.

it's sad that people unfamiliar with how to filter out all the bullshit on the internet go on sites like the D&D. just causing them to get all enraged while not knowing those are just trolls and don't reflect actual people's thoughts and opinions.

Doesn't like how the media portrays Muslims as violent...then gets violent.

He's doing a bit, because another member says that every time something happens that looks bad to groups that the member supports.

I am seeing a lot of the pro-gun/NRA types on Facebook posting stuff like how this proves that it's not just guns that can do harm (which is true), but aren't they making the point for stricter gun laws? In essence, because the guy didn't use a gun, no one was killed and the attacker was shot by a policeman.

Right, people might die regardless of the weapon. The point that the anti-gun crowd makes is that more people will die if a gun is involved. In this instance, no one died. Had the idiot used a gun, the odds dramatically go up.

the point 2nd amendment advocates make is that you would just take the guns out of people's hands who would use them appropriately. Murders don't care about gun laws and we are at the point where you can print a gun in your home.....

Don't really want to jump into D&D waters here, but I'm not sure if that guy would have been able to purchase a gun legally. Was he an international student? I think citizenship status impacts gun rights.

Pro-gun people are making the point that the overreaction is to restrict guns to law abiding citizens instead of focusing on the real issue, whether its a terrorist attack, hate crime, ect ...

Banning guns is not going to stop this type of behavior which is obvious by this attack. Guns do not make people terrorists or criminals, ideology does.

Its fine to discuss better gun control (which helped in this case) and its needed, but our current administration wants to pretend religious extremist doesn't exist and its only angry people baited by xenophobic people. The truth is these refugees/immigrants do not approve of liberal ideology.

Why are these radicalized people attacking the people who are preaching to tolerate muslims? Shouldn't they be attacking Christians and their churches? Radicalized Muslims see liberals as Godless heathens. Liberal beliefs insult their religious beliefs.

So back on topic, why are we blaming guns instead of ideology?
