He trolls whatever team is hot's thread. Just ignore it. He'd been away from UH threads until this season. Before that it was A&M.
I don't blame him for leaving, but I wouldn't leave because I'm Houstonian. If TH didn't win against Oklahoma and Louisville, he still be coach for the Houston. He didn't really like Houston, he doesn't say anything on radio, or tv. He is a true alien to Houston, even if he stayed the circus will be back next year. With him leaving, UH probaly would want someone who would not jump ship so easily. I vote for Art, Les and if Kiffin really commits long-term, 1st on the list.
I'm not going to lie, while the program has moved forward the past two years... 1) You would be hard pressed to convince me that some of those losses weren't partially to blame due to the distractions. 2) The way Herman left is kinda souring the taste a bit... I'll try to stay positive, but we are going to get curb stomped in whatever bowl game we go to. Such a shame, could have been a season for the ages. Oh well. Good friends of mine go to CStat and Penn State; I'll just have to wait until next year for UH football again.
You guys are going to be ok. Just don't hire another special teams coach as HC. What yall really need to focus on is fixing the hoops program. There's no excuse for UH to suck at basketball.
Lol UT fans on a high horse. As someone with no dog in this race, I hope big 12 fanboys know that the UT program is not respected nationally and the big 12 is the biggest joke of a power 5 conference to everyone else.
Took care of business beating George Mason, South Dakota and Vermont to take their first tournament in around 25 years.
I honestly have no idea, I tend to not read anything he posts anymore. I just caught the "know you place comment". I assumed he was one of those UT fans who did not actually attend the school and barely graduated from high school.
Can we stop with the Art Briles coming back to UH? In no way would they covet someone with that much baggage, no matter how good he was at Baylor. The guy brings too much controversy, too much off the field issues, which will gradually be revealed as time goes by.
I assume you mean Briles. I agree in either case. Briles is still way too toxic and Miles would only treat UH as a stepping stone.
Haha I despise UH and barely consider them above a community college. I went to Rice, so there's certainly no love for UH.
Ha! Yeah, I was having conversation about the possibility of Les Miles coming to UH. You're right, he would treat UH like a stepping stone, but honestly, until UH can get itself into a bigger conference. Every coach who has success here will treat UH as a stepping stone.
My mistake Although if UH is barely above a community college, it sounds like they would fit in perfectly with the rest of the Big 12. At least that is how I have always felt.
No, but it does reinforce the value of meeting the Houston high school coaches and learning the recruiting market. I wonder if colleges are able to put non-compete clauses in head coaching contracts, I could see U of H being compelled to do something like that. Of course, that would make it harder to recruit another top assistant but I think at some point the accountants just pull the plug.
I actually think Miles could be a good fit at Houston. He's 63 years old, so I don't know much longer the big time programs would view him as a top candidate. He may be a good choice for the Coogs if Miles wants to make UH his last coaching gig. He's a big name that knows how to recruit this area well.
