You should be worried. This offense with this personnel is going to be feast or famine. Both Gordon and Anderson are high turnover players. When you add them to Harden, who himself is already a turnover machine, then you crank the game speed up to warp, you are going to have plenty of turnover-fest games like last night. This is what mediocrity looks like. Until we add a premier playmaker that can feed the shooters/scorers without throwing the ball away a bunch of times we will remain mediocre. This roster simply isn't the right pieces and Harden has not reached a maturity to accept a primary premier playmaker in order for the offense to be truly elite regardless of the opponent.
I wonder if we would improve quite a bit if we had a good back to the basket post player that could pass. Something like a 14/15 pre-injury DMO. Would that be enough playmaking to make us competitive? Right now I just don't think we can compete reliably.
I think Gordon's been good. He has his off shooting nights, but he's definitely living up to his contact thus far. Anderson though...yeah...I'm concerned. He is simply not providing the kind of offense he needs to in order to be a serviceable player. People can rationalize it all they want with the whole "he creates great spacing", but you don't pay 80 million bucks for that.
Fan watches one game, Anderson has 3 turnovers. Fan decides Anderson is a high turnover player. Fan ignores the previous 4 games Anderson had 0 turnovers. With 1.1 turnovers a game so far with the Rockets and 1 turnover a game for career, Anderson is the definition of a low turnover player.
Anderson worth maybe 10-12M per at most. He might worth 15M outside the three point line but he worth like a rookie contract whenever he gets into the paint. His defense is even worse that he cant defend neither the paint nor the perimeter. Not to mention his weak denfensive awareness where he he is always a step slow in his denensive rotations. I blame Morey for overpaying him. If 9 out of 10 clutchfans can see this in 15 rockets games, how did Morey not making an appropriate judgement on how much he worth based on his 8 Nba years? I hate to say it but I always think that Morey knows nothing about basketball.
Ryno was a Les and Dantoni signing. Get ready for more. We're lucky we're not stuck with Nick Young too
Let's do Anderson a solid and send him home in exchange for Gay: http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets...have-fond-memories-of-Sacramento-10636251.php
Watch the Anderson fan club point at Anderson's 9 +/- differential and still say he makes everyone better even with 0% FG and 0 rebs this game.
Mediocrity is .500 If the Rockets stay at this pace we are looking at a 4-5 seed, with some good flexibility to make moves.
He's persistent trying that spin move every game at least once. I expect it to start working soon. To me he looks like a man nursing an injury. Never watched him before. Can't believe he is so stiff/unathletic - he must be still recovering from an injury.
We get 14/6 per 36 for the low discount price of 20 mil a year! If we chipped in an extra 10 mil a year, maybe he'd be one of the top 85 defensive PF's in the league.
Great move by both teams. Kings get some form of talent locked up long term, we get cap space in the offseason.
