I haven't spoken or heard much since right before the Memphis game. UH knew that Herman would talk to schools after the season. Baylor made a request and it was expected others would as well. Last year Herman let UH know when he would be willing to speak to schools ahead of time. Renu and TF were told. Based on history I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He had opportunities to get more money last or keep UH out of the loop and didn't. From day 1 I have said he could very well leave and I know the board knew as well but was straight forward with the board.
You didn't read some of what I have written before. The people I know are involved in the decision making process or at a minimum are in the meetings where it is discussed.
I can't hold it against anybody for taking what they think is a better job. I appreciate the last two years of UH football, and knowing how it ended, I'd do it all over again. That said, I do feel disappointed. Maybe that is because Herman left OSU the right way, and UH in a messy way. In the end I wish him all the success of his predecessor.
UT acts like our buddy, "we'll help you in" .....Instead, they just take our coach. Same old $hit. Leopard/Spots..
It's going feel very weird and wrong actively recoiling in disgust and anger whenever I see or hear Tom Herman's face or name from now on.
Joseph Duarte ✔@Joseph_Duarte Chance Allen: "He told us straight up (recently) that he’s here with us no matter what. He said he hasn’t negotiated with anybody.” Bad look, Tom.
@TilmanJFertitta: "U of H is a great program & we appreciate the last 2 years but it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up" "It's not an economic issue.Tom felt like he had a better chance to compete for a national championship at @Longhorn_FB."
It was his dream job so you can't fault him with that. I just hope we get into a P5 conference soon enough before our next hire get poach again.
UH can prevent any transfer to UT...unless it is a graduate transfer. Ed Oliver will be in the NFL.....before he ever goes to UT.

Not going to happen but my dream hire would be David Shaw. His coaching ability mixed with Houston area recruits would be deadly.
