Those guys who want to trade Clint are just dead wrong. The kid's only 22 freaking years old, he's just scratching the surface of what he can do because honestly his body isn't fully developed and his skills are still raw.

Clint has good hands and has a high bball IQ. He's also a hard worker, and we've seen him display some post moves like baby hooks when before he couldn't do anything. His peak will come at 28 years old, till then you can expect a lot of improvement from him. I wouldn't trade him for Boogie, simply because is the type of talent you can attract with a winning team, James Harden, and capspace. Talent like Capela isn't so easily obtained because getting a lottery talent on a rookie contract is almost impossible unless you tank for him.

    Capela has made Boogie obsolete.

Yep, he's shoooting 52% in December, take away that awful start and he would be at a solid 60/65% i think.

EDIT: wops, i mean November obviously

I like Clint but I would take Boogie over Clint anytime. As long as we don't give up the farm in a trade for Boogie you have to do the trade. Clint is a great player, but Cousins is a star that will only look better with Harden feeding him and Pringles will allow him to do even more than he currently does in Sac.

he is one of the best rim protectors in the comp, opponents shoot just 44 percent against him at the rim

Easily, without having a second thought, but Sac will want more...

Well...sure...yeah...but Sacramento would laugh at this offer.

    *thinking*

*realizes this is Sacramento we're talking about*

You're right. Actually they'd definitely take that offer.

Sure many would do that, but that would have guaranteed nothing.

You would probably trade Draymond Green, Harison Barnes and Klay Thompson for Boggie in 2013. Am I not right?

Clint is not our 2nd scoring option.... we dont even have one. Just like OKC we're a 1 man team, with bunch of supporting casts and role players. 2nd option is someone who avg 15 to 20 point season in season out, not during a short stretch of season...

Any other team that had a guy doing what Clint Is doing at 22 years of age and really only in his 2nd season of playing NBA ball would be estatic...... but on clutcfans we don't think hes a legit center/prospect moving forward smh.

Capela has basically Been a 15/9/2 guy over the past 8 or so games and he's been going against very very good starting centers.

His stats are continuing to rise every game. He keeps getting better and better.

Would I trade him for cousins? Yes if the deal didn't lose us any of the staring unit. But for now Clint is good enough and he is showing real potential to were you can start looking for a Ariza replacement like Paul George as our second star instead of a Clint Capela replacement to be that second star.

What it boils down to me is this.

Are we better with Clint/Paul George or cousins/Ariza?

I starting to think the first one is the right answer and I didn't think that a few weeks ago.

But you take what you can get and if either of these two guys are available you make the trade. Harden more than anything needs a second star. But we got to keep some of the good role players because that's part of becoming a real contender.

Morey has his work cut out.

So would that make you a person who doesn't do the Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, two first-round picks for James Harden deal in 2012?

Capela does not have star capability, but it's good to see him making progress. I hope that Trez will do the same quickly.

No :) because I thought of Harden as a big star the moment I first saw him play plus he wasn't 'problematic' personality like Cousins that can prevent skills to shine.. On the other hand, that analogy doesn't work because we already have 1 superstar and need to pair him with the other or a player or two we already have to develop into a star.
Imho there is a greater probability we 'develop' a star or even upgrade at positions other than C than Boogie being a right fit with Harden. Except if you play the marketability card or /and winning not being your primary goal.

Who was 2nd option on gsw in 12/13

Werent they only a bunch of supporting cast in 12/13? And even in 13/14?

Gordon averages 14pts doesnt that make him 2nd option

    Another pretty solid game:

21 point (9-12 fgs and 3-4 fts), 9 boards, 2 blocks, no turnovers, a couple of solid defensive plays in the last minutes...

I also like that he screamed after a dunk in the last 3/4 minutes, it means the guy has some fire and i think it's important, guys with passion for the game have better chances to become good than those who have not
