Agree that the tech's compliance isn't natural behavior. Also, they whispered behind an air door, so they would have to be morons to think she couldn't hear them with amped up ears. The threat of death doesn't work on intelligent people. It backs them into corners and they fight back. You would think they would be more afraid of being caught trying to get her out of the park than death. I mean they could just quit if they felt this manipulated. Show hasn't sold this behavior to any of us. If either tech had a motive to go along, you could buy into it. The bird tech could have a backstory, the creation of life, or reincarnation, that we don't know about, like in pet cemetery. But other guy is strong willed and an ass. I don't understand why he's going along with all of this. And now, with Maeve going off course, they will be looking into all their work. So they are at huge risk.
Lol. That was fun. Nice link. I didn't get to death yet, but no guest is supposed to die, so that is interesting. Yet we know death is coming. And has come for Arnold, Theresa, Elsie, and the Wife. Especially since death is the center of the maze. This is why I think Arnold is uploaded into the Horse. The one thing I cannot figure out is how that upload occurs, but that likely will never get resolved no matter how long the show lasts.
"Personality Testing should have weeded you out in the embryo" Ass tech to the bird tech ( Asian guy ). Make of that what you will. I have no idea. But that certainly would be some kind of indicator that the bird tech dude was either genetically engineered or a host which may explain some of his motivations.
The Asian tech is not afraid of her, he is choosing to help her. How are you missing that aspect? The only one "afraid" of her is the white guy because she threatened to reveal that he was selling access to the robots as sex toys. Would ruin his career. She has never threatened the Asian guy, he WANTS to program her.
I went back to look at the bird tech ( Asian guy ). And thought no better way to get out of the park than becoming a bird. Mark it down. My first thought was that Elsie died and became the bird, but I was wrong about that, the sequencing doesn't work when I looked it over even though it is really close, the only one who dies right before the bird comes alive is the host guy who has his blood drained upside down by MIB. And yes, it is right before. But think the bird is simply a way for Maeve to get beyond the boundaries of the park somehow. The bird lands right on her hand after coming alive again, like she controlled it. And if you really want to get deep into the bird analogies, you don't have to go far with Michael Creighton, as that is how the Dinosaurs evolve, and that is how they get off Jurassic Park. They become birds. Also, think about another nod to Jurassic Park, the Asian dude manipulates the DNA there too to create life, and maybe more importantly hybrids as weapons, and he is generally the guy responsible for the shiot storm to ensue in several of the movies.
The bird bites the ass tech. That jumped out and grabbed me when watching it again. It really has absolutely no programmable reason to do that, unless...
So Bernard's brief flashback after asking Ford if he'd made him do anything like this before was him killing Elsie?? I don't think that's possible since he was on the phone with her seconds before her death.
Using the link, booked my 3 week stay at Westworld for $5,431,000. OMG! Some interesting finds: There is a map of westworld which helps They cannot be held liable for marital issues resulting from park, lol Becoming a horse or another animal is one possible option...should something happen.
They annoy me. Why does she always get him as her tech . . . no one else seems to have a specialized tech Does she know his schedule? Does he not get weekends off? i thought the White tech was the boss. . . .why has he simply not reassigned the Asian Tech If he is not the boss .. . he is at least the senior tech Honestly . .. If I dropped a computer at HP .. they would be pissed . . maybe dock my pay . . . maybe fire me but . . .I would be free. I don't understand why the tech don't simply total trash her before she wakes up and be done with it. "Sorry boss. . the drill got away from me and when through her central processor. . . .I will switch it out but she will have to be programed from scratch." Problem solved There is the most implausible part of the story to me Rocket River
I agree, the lab techs helping Maeve is the only part that is really hard to buy into. It seems like they needed to make a plot point (Maeve going independent) and this was all they could come up with in a rush. I understand the motivations of both of them but it's not convincing at all. I can't wait until she really does move on from these 2 into a more believable situation. Also is that lab tech dude the Domino's commercial guy? "Payback..."
She discovered the transmitter that was being used to communicate with the hosts. It's not clear why ford was involved in that
He may not have been. The way the scene was edited definitely makes us believe that he did have a hand in her death. Maybe Bernard found a way to go rogue without being detected.
My bad I either didn't read it in here or didn't notice it. Only reason it makes sense is because we know there are various timelines...
