O'Brien did challenge the fourth down call. Per the NFL rule book, a turnover on downs is not automatically reviewed. I looked it up, found out I was wrong. I thought it was. Was wondering during the game why they were saying O'Brien challenged. That's why.
Well.. in that case I was wrong. And I'll be a man and I owe an apology to Nick. Little tipsey and pissed off.. passion gets the best of us sometimes. I don't recall the challenge but my anger/frustration may have contributed to it. Sorry Nick. My fault and I owe you a beer
Yeah the one sided bad calls were just ridiculous.....it was like the Texans were playing against the Patriots.
The Texans didn't lose because of bad officiating. They lost because they didn't play good enough which is the case most weeks. The only difference is they've squeaked out wins when they haven't played well. That might start evening out though to finish the season.
Mediocre means they are in the middle which they are. I love this team and they were screwed tonight by the refs but they hurt themselves as well
Post what the truth? I love this team but they are ranked in the middle of the NFL. They''ll win their conference but this team just can't compete with the big dogs of the nfl
So....they outplay a 7-2 team only to get screwed by the refs multiple times and your (hot)take from that is that they can't compete with the big dogs? Smart.
Look man they were screwed by the refs probably the worst refed game I've ever seen but I wouldn't consider the raiders legit yet. I was not impressed with them tonight
The Texans did NOT play well enough to overcome the deepened deficit from BAD officiating to win the game. Texans got screwed BAD by refs. What's upsetting is Texans didn't play the comical "typical Texans" game. They actually OVERCAME most their mistakes and bad plays, and performed like a serious professional team. Only to have EXTERNAL issues (freaking laser light in QB eyes?) come in to mess it up. If Texans are out the playoffs by a game or tie-breaker, can bet your ass this might be a game people look back on. It almost so much already that a "Mexico City" mention might conjure up sick feelings in people for a while. But oh well now, gotta win the ones in front of you. Hope its still a rallying moment
still can't believe that happened. Luck may not play Thursday though, if he does it's recklessness by their training staff.. this screw job in a closer division race could be a colossal hit to playoff hopes but thankfully we still have everyone in the division left on the schedule. BRUTAL. We didn't run shotgun as much as we have in the first half of the season, which was nice. Brock does so well with play action still scratching head over the fascination with uggs playbook. He is runs Boot to perfection, it should be used more. CJ has been magnificent. I thought griffin was going to be the one to elevate his game and CJ's use was only for holding penalties. Filo was blasting people too. Really proud how this Team handled their business.
why is this team trying to make the playoffs? we play exactly as expected...it's crazy i feel like we are the most predictable team in the NFL, in terms of playcalling and our play against each team (win vs bad teams, lose vs good teams)
Overall, Texans didn't completely embarrass the city (like all their other road games save JAX), so there's that. They didn't play well enough to overcome some bad officiating and poor coaching decisions. How many times has bad officiating really helped us? I mean, ever... in any sport, any year? I can name many-a F job against us though.
