Thanks Cod! I guessing the bigs are Kostas Koufus Tiago Splitter PJ Tucker Ajinca All of them are bangers. I think Tyson Chandler makes too much for too long. That's I didn't add him
I continue to hold out hope for Paul Millsap. Would add that toughness in the post and would mesh great with Harden offensively.
I'm always looking for your posts for the updates, and hoping like f*** you're doing well, health-wise. Thanks for dropping in.
Well I hope Atlanta bites on this but honestly Millsap is a rich man's anderson so I dunno why they do it. What posters here dont understand when they talk about the spacing effect of Anderson is that its something that will apply to ALL 3 pt shooters elite or not. We can see this when Brewer spots up at the 3 even when he sucks at shooting the 3, his opponent still has to stay and guard him so tbh the % difference between elite 3 pt shooting vs average 3 pt shooting has no effect when u are talking about benefit to Harden, benefit to spacing etc. That elite vs average difference only comes into effect when u actually let loose the 3, and in Anderson's case since he only shoots around 6 times a night we arent maximizing his 3 pt shooting ability but we put up with all his other deficiencies (bad reb, bad d, bad 2 pt scoring) for 30 mins a night. To outweigh his bad qualities Anderson should be taking 8 three pointers minimum, but he hasnt been doing that because his confidence is shot and he has been bricking everything. So for me if I was MDA I would forbid Anderson from even entering the paint and just tell him to take a 3 every time he touches the ball. And then I would lock him in the gym and dont let hi out till he makes 1000 3 pters. He needs to regain his elite 3 pt shooting because when he is off he just drags the team to the gutter, we just havent seen it because Harden is god mode these past few games.
Help in the post?!?!?! Bu.....bu.......bu.......but we got Capela The Great. He's getting better every game. He going to be a superstar. He's got the hook shot now. Bleh bleh bleh. Codman is a fraud. Codman is ignorant. Ban Codman. Bleh bleh bleh. Thanks for the update. Looks like the whole league basically waiting on Boogie again. I was told a couple weeks ago that there were no more talks and he was off the table. And personally, I don't think he is our prime target.
I like Capeka, but we cant go to play a playoff series agains Randolph Gasol or Griffin DAJ with a Capela Anderson combo. they will destroy us. Btw who do you think we are target?
Thx for the insight! So let's take a guess: Unhappy birds can be either Pelicans or Hawks. Pel's roster is pretty uninteresting, Hawks are at 9-4 and 2nd in the East, so not too many unhappy players obviously. Maybe Millsap, because they wanted to trade him in summer to keep Horford. Vet in Phoenix could be Chandler or Tucker, of course Bledsoe and Knight are in the mix as well.
Hope you are doing well, fighting and winning my brother! Thanks for all you do on this board! And much thanks for the hopes that Brewer might be gone soon!
Man you continue to **** on Anderson nonstop, even when facts are posted to you that don't agree with your "eye test", which has been done over and over again. Yeah people don't like certain players and then get on a rant about them, even I did about Ennis. But once they start doing better, you have to accept what are the FACTS of the matter sometimes. You are annoying AF with your blinders on because of your hate of how much he got paid, no matter what the arguments are against your bias. Any intelligent fan will laugh at you when you compare the spacing that a PF like Anderson who can shoot 40% from 3 and do it 4 to 5 feet behind the line, with Corey freaking Sewer's teen percentage 3 point shooting. ARE YOU EVEN FOR REAL RIGHT NOW? Brewer is consistently wide open for 3 pointers because teams prefer him to shoot instead of any other alternative on our team. They will never leave Anderson that wide open intentionally even 4 feet behind the 3 point line. That's why he opens up the lane for Harden. You would have a better comparison trying to compare DMo's 3pt shooting to Anderson, but even that would fall short because of the volume and range of Anderson. Just because Anderson got paid $20 mil didn't mean he was supposed to come in and be this SUPERSTAR that leads the team when Harden isn't. He's a role players and I suspect that the Rockets knew that they were paying for a role player. He wasn't supposed to be LMA or Griffin or someone of that caliber. The new NBA pay market says that you pay role players like him 20 million. You don't have to like it, but 1) it isn't your money, 2) it isn't hurting our team cap wise like you think 3) he is producing probably very close to what Morey expected, and finally 4) we are only 13 freaking games into the season to be judging him like the whole season is over. He has had more positive games then negative. The narrative about no rebounding is wrong because he averages between 6 and 7. Even your top PF are only averaging about 8 or 9 at the most. So you are crying about 1 or 2 extra rebounds per game for a stretch 4? Sure, we all want him to do a little better than he is right now, but he is not the trash that you claim he is. He will have several games this year of 20 plus points and some probably in the 30s. He was not brought here to lead us to a championship. He is a piece that Morey acquired to open up the floor for Harden. That is working right now even if he has had a few bad games. CHILL TF OUT...or just keep enjoying yourself. It's what the forum is here for.
29 minutes (4-9)10 pts 6 reb 31 minutes (4-9)12 pts 8 reb I am not sure if former Rocket Jon Leuer is as elite at spacing the floor though.
It's undeniable that teams respect Andersons shot . But he's eventually going to have to be useful for more than just that . Dekker Ariza and Dmo ( if we sign him ) are going to take his minutes if he can't get going .
The whole Association is waiting for the Cousins shoe to drop. You've got him and the Philly guys. Personally I'm convinced we want him or Noel. Philly is trying to move Okafor and keep Noel though. And Boston is a big player for one of those two. As is Portland wanting Boogie. And Toronto wanting to end the Jonas era and bring in Noel. I really think were trying to get Noel primarily though. Salary and game fits us much better than Cousins. Although Cousins prefers us over Boston at present.
I have to say I agree with you that Cousins is clearly a target, although I wonder at what it would take to get him. Probably some sort of three-way trade; and I would hate to see either Capela or Dekker go (but for a top 15 player, you have to give to get). Noel would take less to acquire than Boogie, and he's not an upgrade over what we have in Capela.
WHICH team will take on Brewer this winter? Without dumping another horrible contract back? That's the real question here.
Unhappy birds =Hawks or Pelicans I don't see the Hawks wanting to trade anything big as they are playing well. The Pelis are awful. Something like Brewer+? for Asik? He can rebound and defend. Would play well against backups. Nene can then play PF instead of C. If Boogie doesn't get traded then maybe Sac trades one of their bigs to make him happy. They only have 14 players, so we could do a 2 for 1. WCS? That's a joke, people. Maybe Koufos as someone suggested (that works straight up for Brewer). Let's KJ get more play, too. Phx-They are 4-11. They decide any change is better than that record. I don't think they'll trade us Bledsoe for the players we have. They trade us PJ Tucker and Alan Williams. They've played AW a lot the last 3 games to showcase him maybe. This rids us of Brewer and gives us a young PF who shows promise as a rebounder. Maybe we send them a second rounder, too?
