I like to think that 3 new people (Sasha/Jesus, Michonne, Carl) hunting for Negan is an ok amount of progression. I'm putting my bets on that Rick finds a giant stash of guns/weapons on his hunt for supplies. Then he has a personal battle with himself on whether to use it or not...probably before Carl gets caught or something.
Jesus and Carl hunting for Negan was like 20 seconds of the 70 minute episode. The rest was garbage with a ton of Carl and emo girl filler. I swear, you could watch a total of 100 minutes of the show in a season and you wouldn't miss anything interesting.
I'm just sayin, But the way the Saviors uniformly drive up to these places they plunder, leaves them susceptible to IED attack. Eugene needs to get on this pronto.
I thought for a sec that gremlin was loaded down with them and was gonna blow as Maggie Rhee drove over it with a tractor!
Don't know about ass specific. And Maggie is all sorts of hott, but Kate from Lost is on another level IMO.
Depending on how they finish off this season wil decide whether or not I'll remain a fan. How they can have a fire ass premier and follow it up with garbage is just beyond me. I straight up don't give a damn about anybody on this show except for Rick, Daryl, Negan, and maybe Michonne because the character development has been god awful. Anybody watch Westworld is it worth a look?
Their dominance is so complete that they don't fear it. You may kill a handful of them with an IED, but then hell will descend upon you as Negan has proven.
I agree that I've got character fatigue. I hardly care about any of these schmucks now. It's the Negan and Rick show. Everybody else is just in the way at this point. Daryl, Carol, and Michonne's character arcs are worn out. The rest just don't have one. There's potential in Aaron, Eugene, and Jesus. They should work on them.
Anyway, did nobody else roll their eyes at the fact that the saviors managed to open the gate, drive a car in, light a bunch of fires, turn the music on in that car and lock it up and leave the community without anyone noticing?
They shouldn't have killed Abraham. I get why it makes sense to do it from Negan's point of view, but for show purposes they have really left us with a lot of crap characters.
I thought the welding on that car was a little too good, honestly. FWIW I think they pushed the car in then probably turned on the radio. But yeah, how does the Hilltop have NO guards/lookouts?
Turned on the radio how though? A remote control? Either way, how do you wheel a car into a community with a closed gate without anyone noticing lol. I mean with all the crap Rick's people have gone through, how is it even possible a community as dumb as the Hilltop is still alive? The Wolves that attacked Alexandria would have pillaged the heck out of this place.
I thought there were a lot of WTF, how would that have happened moments last night... - the car scene at night as discussed above - maggie in a tractor... so there's a tractor now just conveniently there... seems like that'd be a pretty important asset... why doesn't negan have it already for example - the continued ignorance of these teenagers, to allow them to just do their own thing (and yes, I get it's a different world) - the fact that the entire Hilltop compound seems to consist of 3 or 4 people - Maggie just immediately ordering 2 of those 4 people to do x,y,z and them being like "on it!" - Random roller skating - Maggie giving away that pocket watch when clearly any normal person would save it for their unborn child Etc. All that said, I still thought it was a better episode in the right direction. We weren't completely stuck on the Maggie arc (as seemed likely when the episode opened). I think the Jesus character is a great addition. I actually enjoy the Carl story line. There was some fighting and action, though it was kind of campy. And the leader of the group that came from the Saviours is creepy good. My $0.02
This is kind of what I want now. I wish that Negan had just killed them all and then it became his show. Spare us from the snoozefest.
It pisses me off how much leash Daryl and Rick get. Negan should kill them right now for all the disrespect. And episode 2 is how you milk a series 101.
You guys fall for the pump fakes every year. Great season premieres, and great mid-season finales. Then the final season finale leave some stuff open ended with some closures with people dying. The rest of the season is filler, filler, & more fillers. This show is never ending and I don't get how that doesn't anger people.
