If you enjoy questionable play calling and bizarre in-game decisions, you will LOVE Les Miles. Herbstreit also said in his rant something along the lines of the boosters "did it to Mack Brown, and now they're doing it to Strong." Just clueless. And it's the height of hilarity for an Ohio St guy and a SEC guy to complain about the influence of boosters at other schools.
Why do people keep saying this? He has done a great job branding himself as the Values coach. He says all the right things about morals. But he was just bopping a Louisville booster's wife while Strong himself was married. Applewhite doesn't do anything close to that, and ppl here are saying he can't come back here. Petrino's scandal was about on par, and he's out of consideration. Branding is a real smart thing.
Isn't that just purely speculation? We have no idea what the supina was for or what he was going to be asked.
Ya I forgot he got subpoenaed and was called a party to the divorce. Oh wait he didn't. No one has any idea Strong's involvement was but speculate away if you want. Doesn't really matter at this point. Both Major and Petrino messed around with students, that is a huge hell no. On par with Petrino? You truly have no idea what you are talking about. Petrino hired her on as an assistant after they were having the affair, crashed a motorcycle with her on it, and still tried to cover it up.
http://www.hornsports.com/forums/topic/13310-the-end-is-nigh/?p=234081 Some updates and a rehash of old news. Biggest update is that a mandatory team meeting just ended. Edit: No official announcement made, according to source on team.
Chip Brown reporting that UT officials met today. Apparently Fenves initially wanted to wait until Friday to make it official but sounds like Perrin could meet with Strong tonight or tomorrow morning. No reason why the announcement and timeline shouldn't be announced during Strong's presser tomorrow. Reports of Fenves wanting to wait are disappointing.
Frankly, Fenves has struck me as a wimp since he became president of UT. His passivity is rarely surprising anymore. McRaven can't do everything though.
Sterling Gilbert turned down Charlie and Perin for the OC job and Fenves went out to Tulsa took care of it. That should count for something.
Half the team has already eulogized him on Twitter. If Perrin had any respect at all, he wouldn't make Charlie stand in front of the firing squad tomorrow.
