Sure. Leaders of course should be held to a higher standard and have some intelligent emotional control. But that pretty much went out the door when Trump was elected. Expect more raw emotional outbursts. For Pence part, he ignored the boo and stopped to listen to the message. That's mature leadership. I bet he wished Trump didn't tweet that.
Trump has always been a beta - thus his army of beta male supporters. Betas often whine, so this will be a common theme.
I have come to realize we must provide Trump and Pence and the rest of the future administration public safe spaces in which they are not lectured, harrassed, or called mean names, including labels they place upon themselves. We must move forward with a clean slate, disregarding past public statements, policies, and associations. We mustn't over-rig the alarm bell over politicized they have said they will pursue until they pursue them in only the most overtly anti-pluralist ways. Bringing up these things just makes people numb to them and is essentially crying wolf. What political space do we have if we call them out now if they pursue awful policy or if someone worse comes along? It is important to our civil discourse that we be gentle with them. Pence attending the GLAAD Awards is like Obama attending an NRA meeting. There are probably all kinds of demographic pluralities in live theater, and a general admit performance is obviously geared to the public as a whole. I wonder if they'd take exception to being defined by one group or another, especially as a pretense for hypothetically breaking character and somewhat chastising individual spectators. Conversely it's worth conceding that the "boos" came from some in the audience rather than any in the cast, and the cast might have had a similar intervention and speech if Tim Kaine had attended.

That sad part of all this is that deep down, Trump supporters know he's being a hypocritical jack ass but expect the next 4 years of Trump supporters turning into nothing more than trolls who never take anything seriously and assume they are intellectually superior because us libs 'care too much about trivial things.' Trump needs to stop tweeting. He's got more important things to focus on. Having said that. If I'm paying to see a musical or theatrical performance, I really don't want to hear the performers giving me or anyone else their opinions on social issues or political issues. Just give me what I'm paying for.
