I think we still need to wait and see more to say this but, just turned 22, second season in the league, first as a starter and with consistent playing time so, yeah, he does look good, and to me it also seems like there's still room to develop his game, especially on offense where he does look pretty raw overall, but some moves are already smoother than a lot of other bigs around the league.
Maybe they will look better with Favors and Hill back. Especially Hill who runs that team well.Anyway all in all I like our chances much more then I did in the preseason against these teams(Portland, Jazz and the Grizzlies) then I did in the preseason.
Really impressed with Clint and Nene this game, Jazz's biggest strength is their front court of Gobert and a bunch of other dudes, so it was really nice to see these two step up. I mean just look at Ryan Anderson his lunch got gobbled up this ga...oh wait I'm sorry, according to the Ryan fanclub his 20% 3 pt shooting was actually the reason the team won :/
aside from Harden switching to PG whats even different about the offense? no ball movement, late game ISOs, contested 3s, too many 3s, no plays, too many 3s, too many 3s, too many 3s
It's ironic you say that when the Jazz were actually hitting at a far more unsustainable rate of 44% as opposed to Houston's 38%. The Jazz are a great defensive team and they will always make every game look ugly, but they were never at any point a threat to win the game. Sure, the offense from Houston wasn't as good as their other games, but this was easily one of the smoother wins the Rockets have had this season excluding blowouts.
I'd really like to see Ryan Anderson start playing like he deserves half of that contract. He's had a few solid games, but for 20 million a year we need him to make a solid contribution in one way or another every single night.
What the hell is Exum trying to prove with 30 seconds left here. I'm embarrassed for him. Harden might just dribble out the clock and hand him the ball, if he wasn't such a j*zz pest about it.
The rockets had 28 assist to only 5 tos. This really isn't the game to complain about the offense. And TBH as ugly as the team looked last year they were still the 6th rated offense. The offense looks a lot better than last year just simply having Anderson stretch the floor and Gordon being able to create shoot and drive to the hoop. Sometimes it's more about the personnel than anything. Clint and nene playing the way we needed Dwight to play doesn't hurt either.
"31pts & 10ast without a turnover tonight for James Harden. The last Rocket to do so was Sleepy Floyd at Orlando on 4/8/90. #InGuardWeTrust" Nice!!!
