Really?? It's Capela's fault that THE MOST EXPLOSIVE PLAYER IN THE NBA (Yes, he is more explosive than Lebron) had a free fun at the basket and forced Capela to have to try to block his shot off a quick rotation. Corey Brewer let Westbrook have a free run to the basket, and fyi, the only reason Capela didn't block it was because WB switched to his left hand. Theres seriously only a handful of NBA players who could've made that play. Any maybe none who would've guessed the left handed dunk was coming, and made that adjustment on the block.
He is a 42% FT shooter. While they can't intentionally foul him you can't pass him the ball since he will be fouled if he gets the ball.
So we're going to ignore Capela's good game (13 points 5-8 shooting (3-4 from the line), 14 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 foul in 27 minutes) because he got fouled on a rebound and was dunked on by Russell Westbrook? I guess the Jazz shouldn't close with Gobert. He gets dunked on a lot. Capela is shooting 69.7% from the charity stripe the last 4 games, btw.
Capela's confidence at the FT line is getting better as of these recent games. Lets see if it's just a fluke still or its actual progress showing from his work. Crucial part of his development here
Not his fault that he got dunked on, but it is his fault that he didn't secure that rebound on the play right before.
If you are gonna judge Clint on that one play then Harden should have been on the bench, because Westbrook made him look like an amateur.
Capela made Adams look like a scrub yesterday, Nene didn't play a good game imo, he didn't catch a couple of good passes by Harden, he made a couple of bad turnovers and he didn't protect the paint at all (not that this is his fault, he does what he can), not sure sure why MDA went with him to finish the game until he got desperate... And for those "joking" about the fact that Westbrook dunked on Capela well, at least he tried to stop Westbrook and he didn't roll out the red carpet like Harden did two/three times early in the game, smh...
Nene has been less than impressive. In fact, I'm surprised that Capela has better hands frankly. Nene has not been hitting the FT jumper which essentially makes him useless. Add in the moving picks. And the poor FT shooting from Nene. And it all spells Capela. Better scoring. Better Shooting. Better handle. Better Rebounding.
Exactly!!! How many times did Westbrook get around defenders the whole game? Clint didn't have any turnovers, and had 3 blocks and 14 rebounds. He is making 1.3 million this year, and working harder than guys making ridiculous amounts of money to not show up.
