I wonder if Harden puts fear into the opposing teams fanbase in crunch time, like a Kobe or Durant does? Cause he sure puts fear into mine when he dribbles the clock out.

Kobe? please Kobe cant hold Harden's jockstrap Kobe hasnt been able to do anything by himself his entire career. If Kobe was such an amazing mid range master why are his %s so bad?

Seriously? One game and his playmaking was still spectacular. I don't know where you people come from.

I agree.. Kobe could never create for his teammates the way Harden can on a nightly basis.

The biggest disappointment was MDA let the drought go on for like a good 4 mins...I think he'd be able to draw something up going to the rim.

I'll say OKC played terrific defense though. I think it would have been a great win but sometimes you get a good/decent team like that, that's lost 4 games in a row and you get one of those games out of them. It's really just important for the Rockets to just not go on such losing streaks like that and they'll be fine. Try not to drop 2-3 games in a row, get this one against Portland and move forward.

We are built for fun, and for padding Harden's stats (hoping that keeps him happy)

I've never been excited about the potential for a lot of wins. We have some nice scorers. And a lot of injury prone ones at that...

man, wait til the injuries start with EG, RA and Nene.

His point was its performances like these which cause people to be in different towards harden. Is that really too hard to understand? Or have you got those Rose tinted glasses on too tight?

This team is probably the best defense this season the Rockets have encountered. For that long drought they had defenders to meet the recipient of a pass and never let go of the defensive pressure. The Rockets were forced to take contested shots if not for driving in the lane for 2. Very tough defense. It took Harden out. Roberson is definitely turning prime Pippenish....

Cute. You guys are absolutely right, star players never have games like this. If that's some kind of reason for indifference towards Harden than yeah I don't get it at all. Every player has nights off. Every single one.

Got to give credit to young Sabonis. He's probably the most sticky 6'10 pf defender in this league. He is a prime 6'10 version of healthy Patrick Beverly that can't do just anything else.

Be honest, who are you more scared of down 1 or 2 points with less than 10 seconds in the game, Harden or prime Kobe? Harden was unreal in the clutch in his first 2-3 seasons as the #1 guy in Houston with Isos. But teams have scouted him and focus so much defense on him alone. Why do you think his assist numbers are so crazy?

Maybe he is still great, and I am wrong, but he has an issue of knowing when to take over then being able to do so and not looking to pass first. I am sure he will figure it out and if he does then he's clearly the MVP.

Kobe had some hall of fame teammates to take the pressure away in those critical moments. Heck the Harden has never had a premier post threat like a Shaq (when the league allowed physical post play to that degree) or later on somebody as skilled as Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom or even Bynum in when he was on a roll post/perimeter. He got to play with a declining Dwight Howard with years of poor coaching. Kobe had too many luxuries on a silver platter setting up his game...

It is really weird that he does this. The coaches are just cool with it?

Not only did westbrook dunk toward the end of the game, he showed up the rockets while the rockets silently walked to the bench. Where is the passion and heart to not be taunted at during the end of the game?
