ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 11/16/2016

I'm very curious about this particular game. I feel like it's a really good measuring stick. How will we deal with the obvious fact that we have no one to guard Westbrook and we are playing a team that will win roughly as many games as us?

I wonder if we should try something out of the box, like put Harden on Westbrook all game and try to shut down the other 4 guys with our other 4 guys? Harden might actually the best option to defend the best scorer for once.

 

Honestly, if we Lose it's because russell goes ham. Okc aren't a very good team as a collective

 

Harden vs Westbrook will be like Carter vs Iverson, 15 years on.

 

We have to box out tonight. Hopefully we don't allow Kanter and Adams get them too many second chance opportunities.

 

I hope you guys weren't listening to Rose , Billups and Tmac on ESPN right now.

Harden loves D Antoni. He doesn't have to practice, no defense. Match made in heaven.

Rockets out first round. No defense, no rings. Pretty much made fun of D Antoni / Harden.

 

Hopefully we pack the paint and make Russ shoot threes.

T-Mac has no room to talk. I loved the guy in Houston when he was healthy, but Harden has already accomplished more in his short time in Houston than T-Mac ever did. And I don't recall McGrady playing a ton of defense in H-Town either.

 

I am excited for this game

Two MVP players going head to head playing the same position and both carrying a team of otherwise scrubs.

I want to see some mano a mano this game

 

I hope Harden steps up tonight. I always feel like MVP voters pay closer attention to games like this when MVP candidates go head to head.
