James Harden is once in a lifetime. He's playing like a top 20 all time player. Wiggins and Embiid aren't even top 20 this year.
Don't see the comparison. Those guys led their teams to multiple championships. Harden may not even get one.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-in-nba-history-to-average-29-ppg-7-rpg-6-apg And I think if he continues on this pace with his assists... He'll be on a platform on his own.
no i love harden too much, when you are so attached to a player i dont think their is a player you would trade him for. Harden is leading the NBA in assists( who could have thought that). I wanna see more of Hardens untapped potential, hope he retires a rocket
If Durant would have signed with us, instead of Anderson we would be favorites out west. Durant did his best friend wrong, joining roc nation was the worst thing that could have happened to us as rockets fans. Jayz pushed for durant to join the warriors, im sure of it
That doesn't change the fact that, individually, he is playing at a historical level. Good for him, and especially good for the Rockets if he can keep it up for the entire season. The better he plays, the better this will be. Not comparing Harden to MJ or LeBron and not taking anything away from those guys, but those guys also had other top players (Pippen/Rodman; Wade/Bosh; Irving/Love) on their rosters and the latter actually has had the benefit of playing in a pretty weak conference for the majority of his career..Harden doesn't even have a second all-star on the roster...
I wouldn't even trade Harden for Durant. Wiggins isn't that good. Embiid's foot issues aren't going away!
I do not even think it is his fault. He has done enough but he is no championship caliber leader and I doubt his career choices. As much as people hated Lebron, and hate KD now, they made their decisions to win rings the easy way. Harden made it clear that he wants to win a ship with Houston but I doubt it'll happen under Alexander. It is not really his fault. It is what it is. (That said he could really play the playoffs like it is the regular season.)
Not for Wiggins. He doesn't rebound or assist. Embiid, too risky because of injury. But Embiid is a talent. If healthy, a top 5 center in today's game. Maybe even the best center in a few years. But could also become Greg Oden. And even if both healthy ... you'll end up paying two maxes.
Nope, i don't think Harden is perfect tbh, but i wouldn't trade him for anyone at this point, and i think only Lebron is still a better player than James.
That's the problem, we barely have any flexibility the next 4 years, then Harden will be 30. Les had to go nuts and waste all the cap space on Ryan Anderson Not sure Harden plus Hayward is a championship team.
If the Wolves offered Wiggins and Towns then I would have to really think about it. I really feel like Towns is going to be the next great big man and before the season, I preferred him over Anthony Davis (given health mostly). Wiggins would be the piece to push the deal over the edge. I think that's the only pair of players I would eventually accept for Harden.
