Yeah...corporations are people or rather associations of people and have similar rights as a result. I'm not sure where you are going here.
And the larger the corporations? What then? They certainly don't look out for anyone's interests. Nominally stockholders', but really just officers' and crony directors'.
there is a ****ing neo-nazi on his staff lmao. I was one of the first to say I don't mind Trump, he has even rolled his policies back...but Bannon? You have to be kidding me.
When they are too large they are broken up. Anyway the point is that I trust their intentions since they are based in rational self interest or greed. Also, why even point out that they aren't looking out for anyone else's interests? Isn't that assumed? I mean, governments are not really any different you know. Those in power look out for their own interests based on greed and rational self interest. So long as they keep getting elected and stay better off than everyone else they are happy.....but for whatever reason people seem to think that they are looking out for them.
I said younger people are going to get more conservative because conservatism had a breakthrough with this election. But, certainly, even now, younger people are looking more into conservatism. One of the main forces in this election cycle was the alt-right and it's mainly composed of young people. Like I said, he had a platform. He should follow through. I don't think you're disagreeing with that. You ought to take a side here. It's a moral choice. You want to support an aggressive, expansionist bloc? America will get dragged into wars and wars. Just admit you have no idea what's going on in Europe and are arguing on a platitude of "stability".
There is no proof of that, just because there is a movement of young Conservatives doesn't mean that young people are more conservative. I've shown you the graphs and numbers man, it don't match up. There is also a young liberal movement as well and you're just ignoring that. Yes, and that platform didn't really include on taking rights away from LGBT people for instance. Even he clarified that on this very interview. Hopefully the rest of his party sticks true to that. I ought to not because I'm not Ukrainian, I understand that you will blindly side with Daddy Trump though and his Russian overlords I do understand that the country itself is split on the issue so it's not as simple as you put it...as in the EU forced their hand. I never said I wanted to support an aggressive expansionist bloc, but it was made pretty clear that Baltic states like Lithuania made their fears clear when it comes to a Trump presidency.
I'm saying conservatism is on the rise for the youth. It's on the rise in the US in general, so why should the youth be spared? You showed me a graph of political leaning in 2014, I think? Lithuania does not dictate US policy. You know what - whatever, it's obvious you don't know anything in Europe.
You have 0 proof to back up what you say. No. I showed you a map for 2016. You live in a conservative bubble clearly, and you think "Well, all the young people I know are alt-righters, clearly Millennials are leaning right" and all data shows otherwise. You still dismiss the data. Obviously you've never heard of NATO , so it's clear you know nothing about US relations or Europe. Here is a little fact sheet to help you out... https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-pres...d-central-and-eastern-europe-enduring-coopera
It's the first really big red flag, in my opinion. Just having Bannon around, much less with a major role, makes me nervous. The man represents a whole hell of a lot of the worst things about our country.
So basically some people are arguing that everyone becomes more conservative over time. So either there cannot be liberals over the age of, what, 50? Or older liberals must have started as libertarian socialists when they were politically young? Otherwise liberal seniors = unicorns? Sounds legit!
Dude just look at the exit polls, in 2016 37% of people aged 18-29 voted Republican. In 2012 37% of people aged 18-29 voted. The exact same number. I don't believe you, you need more support.
At least as bad is the news that Bolton is the odds on favorite for Sec. of State. That's even worse than Newt Gingrich. The one thing you could say about Candidate Trump was that he at least had times when he seemed to have non-interventionist ideas. But that's not the way it happens with super interventionist war hawk Bolton in as Sec. of State.
I'm not saying the youth are now conservative. I'm saying there's a rising of conservatism in the youth. Same goes for @JayGoogle too.
When's the last time a big corporation is busted up? Ma Bell? Standard Oil? I don't think the government is looking out for anything other than how to take more from my wallet. Therefore I'm a big believer in second amendment. I just don't get how people can support all that (as I presume you do) but turn around a give a free pass to big corporations and military-industrial complex that are even bigger threats to democracy, IMHO. I think the true nature of the beast is the federal government-military-industrial-media complex. They all have their own, but ultimately convergent, reasons for the status quo that imperceptibly slides towards increasing exploitation of the people. If that's the case, either you overthrow it, or you at least support some of that money going towards caring and betterment of the people in the form of healthcare and education with the hope of a better electorate being able to better resist falling for the lies told by the machine. If the federal government must cut its budget, I'd rather it cut a couple Ford class super carriers and scrap the disastrous LCS, nay, Littoral Training Ship, program.
I put this mess squarely on the feet of King Barry and his minions running these cities. We need to complete the task of draining the swamp, we got our presidency back, let's take back all of the cities too from these Demonrat mayors. No more lawlessness, no more sanctuary cities, law abiding citizens are already being effected by these homegrown terrorists. It's only a matter of time before more tragedy will strike, more people will be dying, more properties will be destroyed. I say it's time for a mass arrest and send these fukking disciples to a FEMA reeducation camp. We law biding Americans do not have to put up with this shiet, it is time for the hammer to come down. These clowns are too stupid to understand between the right to assemble peacefully and rioting, looting and killing innocent people. As the father of General Thade said " damn them all, damn them all to hell".
Trump got to keep the alt-right/racist/neo-nazi/extremist wing of the extreme wing happy. He's also known as a loyalty guy and does whatever he want. This is the reality for the next 4 years. But let's see how this translate to actual policy. So, so far Trump try to strike a softer tone. Wait till he lose some political battle to see how long this last. Trump chooses GOP establishment and chooses a publicly known racist. The GOP establishment and the alt-right/racist/neo-nazi are equal partner in Trump WH. Will be an interesting next 4 years.
So much drama. BTW, the only homegrown terrorists we have in recent history are those from the extreme right who hate government. Now that they think they are part of government (and maybe they are), they probably love it now.
