    Initial reactions:

    Ford:
Got his warning shot with the dog. Only person he told was the old cowboy in the basement. So that would imply that the old robots are all communicating information, and that Ford knows it. But still not sure why Arnold and Ford would be at odds now, as in what is Ford doing that would piss off Arnold. Arnold seems to hold all the cards.

    Teddy and MIB:
Need to figure out why Teddy and Wyatt killed all of the Union soldiers in the past. Think it is similar to Revenant, where they were fighting to help the Indians. Wyatt similar to Arnold, so the whole thing about protecting the Indians makes sense to me, and reassures me that reincarnation is the theme of the show, as a way to change your identity, and that the Indians are on to it. Think the the theme of the introductory WestWorld video that Maeve saw confirms that theme as well. As does Ford's quote about how the park is designed to find out who you could be, not who you are.

Maeve: Hello, we now have maximum attributes. What is she going to do next?

Theresa: Don't know her motives, but do like the idea that Arnold was her father, as in she's trying to find him, and stop Ford. If that is the case, Ford already knows who she is and why she is there, but doesn't care, just wants her to stay out of the way.

Elsie: Can't quite figure out what went down there, and how the show will get out of it. As she in the **** storm of it now. I got to figure that the security guy is going to save her, as they both seem to have a realistic view of the hosts and are always together.

Overall: This episode certainly intensified the drama as much as a thinking show can do. But they are in need of dragging it out over six seasons so not sure how they back out. My impression is that the writers know what we are thinking before we think it, and they've gone over that at length, which leads me to think it's all misdirection to where they are going. But do think this show is all about what the world will look like when we can't die, have no consequences, no work, and nothing to do. It's why the greyhound doesn't know what to do with the rabbit after it catches kills it. We've caught death. Now what? And where do we go from there. And therein lies the reinvention of Life. The theme. The ultimate reason the park exists. To figure it out. And why reincarnation is the next evolutionary step and Arnold figured it out.

There are a ton of clues that Arnold is Delores, which is a better ending, and does stick to the theme of self reinvention, self identity, merging of host and human, but think that misdirection, and I still think he's the horse.

I'm trying to like this show, five episodes in, but I'm not feeling that excitement for the next episode like with deadwood or Boardwalk Empire. $40,000 a day could be better spent. I would still be with the blondes in the dressing rooms prior to entering west world.

Every time I see william in westworld in a serious role, I still can't stop thinking of him as one of the creepy brothers from always sunny.

Think it's an important thought with regard to the external world to WestWorld, because the first question is what about these portable VR pods where the employees can get sex... Do they exist outside of West World. and if they do, then why are people coming to the park just to get laid? Does Westworld have any competition? Do all humans currently have hosts at home and at work to do all their chores and work already? And has the world already beaten death, or can they just cure illness, or none of that? Knowing the answers to some of those question help explain the purpose of the world from the perspective of the hosts, guests, and board.

IF the world is so advanced that they are looking for something more in life, then 40k might be a bargain as they are bored out of their mind and need more, but then sex would not be the reason to go to the park anymore as u'd think they have all they want.

By the way, I started LOST last week with no idea how it ends, other than I know people were disappointed with it. I want to get in the mind of this Abrams guy. It's a little campy and little more TV like ( low budget sets ) through the first 6 episodes, especially with the silly trees moving in the background, and yet nobody willing to go investigate them, but I really do like it. I don't know if I can make it through that many episodes and seasons. Probably. Interesting that they already made an Alice in Wonderland reference like WW. My gut feeling is telling me that they are all still on the plane and that the monster is little more than each character dealing with their subconscious in the face of death, and trying to figure who they could have been just like in the Westword. They are all going to die in a plane crash. I'm going to go with that ending. Sense the show wants me to think they are in heaven, limbo, or hell, but think that misdirection here. So tempted to just look up the ending. Also suspect the people that already died on the plane so to speak had already come to grips with their life. The one confusing part is the French woman on the island, who has been there for a long time. She throws everything into flux for me, unless she is part of that one man's subconscious, or maybe someone's mother or something. And why the monster would just kill the pilot is odd too if the monster is little more than a representation of their subconscious as the pilot really had no time to deal with any kind of internal issue, he woke up, he was slaughtered, and that was that.

    Mind semi-blown.

Was always a possibility, and from a plot stand point, makes the most sense to have an inside plant, especially head of QA.

Not sure how the off script interactions with Dolores make sense.

Be creepy if the operation's lady gets replaced body snatcher style.

Someone was being created in the room when the operations lady was killed so now Ford may have a plant in the corporate side

It's hard to tell where he's getting the directive to do the off script interactions, maybe he's a host based off Arnold or has Arnold's conscience uploaded into that body.....

Easily his best role in years. He was absolutely, perfectly cast. He has to be the frontrunner for an Emmy. I'm not really sure if this is a leading or supporting role though, I would think the latter.

I don't think he's necessarily off script. As they said in this episode, they are designed to deviate slightly - as long as it stays within set parameters.

I think Theresa is certainly replaced by a clone. The real question is, how many other clones are there. Is Bernard a clone? Were his memories real? Just how long has Ford been acting in such a way?

It would make sense to me, that Ford would make a clone of Theresa. Also, of some note - IMDB has her listed in 9 episodes.

IMDB list of episodes is not accurate for current and upcoming seasons. I noted that in The Night Of. It said one of the detectives would only be in 3 episodes....when he was in all of them...major character.

btw: why are we using Spoilers around discussing the current and past episodes and maybe adding harmless personal theories. I end up clicking them because they are completely harmless, not a spoiler at all for people who are current. Yet then every once in awhile a real spoiler is mixed in like IMDB list of what actors are in which upcoming episodes.

I still don't get our use of Spoilers. :(

Arnold: Boom! Operations woman iced! I don't think anyone saw that death coming so suddenly. Do not fire the hand crafted Bernard. And do no tuck with Ford. Blueprints revealed. The hosts are now kill puppets. Ford is full on evil. It's entirely possible now that Ford killed his entire family, Bernard, Theresa, and more. The hosts being created in the kill room was smaller than the operations woman, but no doubt, she will have a host too as nobody can tell the difference and Ford demands to be in control.

Edge of the park: We are there. And Delores is drawing her dreams like Maeve is currently doing. Indians made their appearance here, like they are protecting it.

Summary: It didn't even feel like a full hour. That was pretty much it. Ford gone Psychonaut.

The easy solution is just watch the latest episode before coming into a thread designed to discuss the latest episode. Spoiler tags really shouldn't even be a thing. TV episodes become outdated in a week, and people want to talk about the latest developments and theories. If people really care about not being spoiled, they shouldn't be reading posts about the episode.
