He did not just get enough of the votes from the minor group of the extreme racists.

His approach was approved by HALF of the voters.

It's much more of his supporters than just a few of extreme racists, but rather most of his supports at least are OK with this kind of racist approach for a gamble of "changes".

That will lead us to :

1. lots of people will feel num or don't give a fork about any racist shot now.
2. they (assuming those are still not extreme racists but just made a deal with the devil) are so eager to see the changes they expected. A lot of them surely understand the price they paid seeing the current reactions and I don't think they will accept the status quote in the next 6 months.

So there is not exactly any 180 degree turn back by him or this country will benjoy even more fork up than ever.

He is NOT in a good position now.

 

You should seriously read some of the tweets from Trump supporters if you think there's no proof of that and you somewhat contradict yourself there in the bolded. We won't know because Hillary didn't win but we both have no doubt about what some Trump supporters would do.

Just like on the far right, the far left has it's "trouble makers" in the anarchists.

If these people were genuine, they would have come out to protest when the DNC nominated Clinton over Sanders. What a joke of a people.

 

I would not be surprised if Trump did get assassinated. I never took the Obama one's too serious. Establishment politicians generally are safe.

That said, I did find the "vote from the rooftops" saying pretty offensive.

 

Of course. There were people down on their luck that just wanted a change. Hell I want a change so I can get a good job and salvage some of my wasted life. I didn't vote for Trump but I still wanted a change. Maybe a Bernie Sanders change...

 

King Barry could put a stop to this if he were to speak to his disciples. The fact that he chose not to do it and let our nation go up in flame speaks volume about his characters. January 20th 2017 could not come any sooner, good riddance Divider-in-chief.

Not at all do I contradict myself. You are assuming Trump supporters would vandalize, perhaps they would is all I said, but they didn't and you can't prove they would have...but these anti-trump or pro-Clinton folks DID. Therefore their actions are the only actions that matter right now. Not ,"what would Trump supporters have done?"

The truth is we have zero idea what Trump supporters would have done had they lost. Though I might believe they would protest, there is nothing wrong with that, nor is there anything wrong with Democrats protesting. But they got violent. They vandalized. They attacked trump supporters. They are responsible for their actions, not Trump or his supporters.


And this isn't a couple of people rioting, burning flags, threatening to assassinate. These are crowds in multiple cities. High schools emptying out to protest. Certain media members losing their cool. But Obama and Clinton have said all the right things. It's democracy. You lost, protest, vote, advocate for what you believe in, but don't destroy property, don't demonize half the country because they voted for someone else.

 

He's said some things. Perhaps he could have gone further? I do find it ironic that Van Jones says its up to Trump to calm these crowds down, not Clinton or Democrats. But he had no problem with Obama being silent at violent BLM protests after he encouraged their behavior.

 

You said you had no doubt Trump supporters would not lie down peacefully and essentially that we couldn't prove to what extent it would occur. I agreed with that sentiment.

 

Should have used a different word, as the opposite of peaceful is violent. I'm not so sure there would be violent riots if Trump lost. Would there be cases of violence? Most definitely, and it wouldn't even be an issue if it was only pockets rioting against Trump right now, but it's not. It's large groups of people vandalizing, destroying property, disrupting classes, obstructing traffic, etc.

And it's not new either. They were doing it during the campaigns too. Some even paid by the DNC.

I don't recall any Trump riots off the top of my head.

Those were merely the extremists and they were small in number, today that kind of hate is coming from the mainstream. That's the difference. There weren't thousands of people in front of Obama's house with signs calling to rape his wife......but we did see that with Trump.
