Oh boy. This is banana republic material. Now if any Republican crosses Trump, its going to get crazy. Bannon is freaking ruthless.
Another high ranking Trumpophile that is sexist. He also has a history of being a wife beater. Women are going to be the class most hurt by this circus.
I wanted to have hope for Trump but the rumors of his cabinet has basically let the air completely out of that bag.
Hey you can add hating Jews to the list of Bannon traits. I haven't heard him directly say that blacks should be put in chains but it is several months before Trump is sworn in.
http://www.businessinsider.com/r-ex...tic-message-before-pence-visit-sources-2017-2 Guys... this is some scary sh#$ coming from now one of the most powerful men in Washington with an ear to the president. It looks like he completely undermined Pence's trip to Europe to calm the waters over Trump's rhetoric, and this type of Nationalist - Alt Right rhetoric has not place outside of Breitbart and the fringes of the internet. There are two different political parties in the White House right now both in conflict with each other. The Alt-Right/Libertarian White Nationalist Party and the traditional Republican Right. Guys these are two WAY different parties and while Republicans have their issues I disagree with (tax cuts for wealthy, trickle down economics, etc.) I don't feel like our country will not be able to survive another Republican president. The Alt-Right Party has the HIGH POTENTIAL to turn into pre-WW2 dictatorship overnight, and should petrify all of America... but they are living under the blanket of the Republican Party right now. Its up to our friends on the Right who aren't Alt-Right lunatics to stand up to the Steve Bannon side of the White House and get this crap out of our politics.
Not shocking in the least bit to me. Priebus is too weak and was never Trump's choice. I think the RNC basically forced it on him to quiet those against him.
None in the White House although Bannon would probably love to be considered Libertarian instead of Alt-Right/Nationalist just to smooth his image, but he's far from a true Libertarian (far from it on the civil side of Libertarian values). The Libertarian inclusion I really mention as the group of voters out there that Trump played to & the Nationalist/Alt-Right movement really perverted. Libertarian ideals play to a notion that the US should get out of other countries problems and entanglements. The Nationalist movement takes it a step further and creates an isolationist utopia for "certain" "True Americans" so its not a surprise to me that some folks that lean that way on the Libertarian side would be drawn to Trump. Trump and Bannon (especially) know that they have a unique situation where they can play to three different voter bases at one time. Part of the reason why they won. They can have the conservative traditional Republicans, the Libertarians who see him as a vehicle to some important Libertarian values (deregulation, un-involvement of foreign issues), and also "Dog Whistle" to the Alt-Right at the same time. I struggle with combining these three ideologies and calling them one now just because they are under the Trump blanket. I think there is massive confusion among Trump supporters about what ideals they actually believe in honestly, but I know they are more nuanced when you listen to them on a personal level.
