First Trump lie: Russians confirm Trump contacts during campaign.

Let's give him a clean slate even through Obama never got that from the right.

 

It doesn't matter at this point. We are stuck with trump, a republican house and senate, and soon a republican court. They won lets see where the country goes.

 

The right wingers I work with are convinced Trump is actually saving the US from WW3 by engaging relations with Russia pre election. They are actually convinced the US would get nuked if Hillary got elected.

While maybe there is some shred of truth in it (yes Trump being buddy buddy could help the US stay out of war with Russia potentially in some crazy off the cuff apocalyptic scenario), just like all their conspiracy theories, its simplification of a very complicated political issue, and creating a single enemy that the fate of the world is hinging on eliminating.... Hillary has been that target along with Obama for a very long time unfairly. Its gone as far as for them to actually conspire that they are both demons.... yes... demons.... that's a real thing they believe.

Anyone that follows global politics knows that being Russia's b**** is catastrophically bad for the US even it's temporarily good. The threat of NATO alliances being broken & allowing Russia to take rule over the parts of the middle east they want would reshape the world in a very bad way. The first test of the Trump presidency will be what he does nationally with Tax reform & repealing Obamacare. Second, and more important will be to watch what happens with Russia overseas & our involvement in Iraq & Syria.

So Trump being in bed with Russia now is at least factually documented while it was heavily implied before & telegraphed by Trump himself who just couldn't hold it in even on the Debate stage. It's really up to Putin now to show the world how he's going to use his newfound puppet in the US and then see how Trump himself reacts when he does get taken advantage of. Relations with Russian either way will reshape much of the world for generations. This is a pretty big deal.

I'm sure Putin already thinks Trump is one big pushover. Putin will definitely evaluate him KGB style when they have their first meet-up.

 

All you have to look at is the world's reaction to Trump winning, many people think he's a pushover. Obama stood against Russian interest and it served as some protection to the Baltic states. Ukraine's reaction is a nervous one because the reality is...they think Trump is a pushover.
