He has a really good feel for the game for a rookie. The spin move he made on the break was a veteran play. I'm happy with him getting rotation minutes.

    Not really.

Anderson wasn't brought here to play good D or dunk the ball.

Anderson was brought here to hit 3's, he hits about 4x the amount of 3's Dekker does while shooting 12% higher on them as well.

So ready for Brewer and Ariza to go and Dekker and KJ to step up.

At the end of the day all coaches care about is your net production, it doesnt matter if Anderson is hittings his 3s if his production doesnt outweigh the points he gives to his opponent. When Anderson is hitting his shots like tonight then he is decent, but when he is bricking it up out there and also playing bad defense then thats where dekker come into play

Dekker looks similar to Parsons.... if he shoots at an acceptable rate.

He's shown positive upside on both ends..

I like Dekker, but he is not similar to Parsons. Parsons was a playmaker. I have yet to see Dekker's play making abilities. Where are the videos of Dekker passing?

Doesn't mean we shouldn't trade him, even If that is the case.

This is essentially Dekker's rookie season. He has good instincts and plays off the ball well which should lend itself to a larger role if the defense stays consistent.

Not exact skills, but overall skill level. Dekker looks better off the dribble, but Chandler better passing.

I'm not debating any of that.

You said Anderson was brought in for dunking and playing D, you also said Dekker is hitting 3's while comparing him to Anderson. I just disagree with all that. Not the fact that Dekker may end up being a more productive player.

I have a love/hate thing going with Ariza. I do feel like we got all we can out of him, I honestly feel like his body language reads like he'd rather be somewhere else, and I don't like his offensive game. Having said that knowing how inexperienced our other options are, or Corey Brewer, I'm glad we have a veteran like him for important defensive stretches when no one is hitting anything. Or the game here or there where he goes on a mini streak of hitting his 3s.

I still can't for the life of me understand how Brewer gets the start over KJ though. Like, even if Brewer is better, that difference is minimal and KJ is surely more likely to improve with those extra responsibilities and minutes.

Happy with him and for him so far this season. I still think he sometimes plays a bit too fast than he's capable and he can get awkward but the game will slow down for him and he'll look even better.

Oh ok, the last prt of my sentence is just referring to what Dekker is doing well (dunking, 3, good d). The first part is saying Dekker was playing the stretch PF role better than Anderson that game when we are paying 20M to be exactly that.

This is not true because Anderson as a 3 point threat is what allows Harden an easier path to the basket and opens up space for Clint to roll hard for lobs.

If you have a slasher or back to the basket player instead the defense can sag off to play help side more effectively

Dekker can also spot for 3s like Anderson he's not exactly a back2basket....Anderson being a 3 pt threat relies on him making his shots like tonight, if he is bricking his shots opponents will dare him to shoot so it doesnt leave Harden open
