Bobby, not really opening a dialogue but you're dead wrong on this.
    1. A lot of the protests are genuine. I know people out there who were not paid or organized by paid stooges. They are upset that a person openly speaking racism and xenophobia was elected. They will need to accept it and work within the system to support their beliefs. But you should not dismiss them as paid stooges; and you cannot possibly have access to the wealth of data from each protest that would be needed to prove that. Period.

    2. You seem to have, surprisingly (I mean that your credit), bought the Fox News "divisive Obama" hook, line and sinker. Fox aligned themselves against him starting in 2007 as a great boogieman against all that was holy. They continued that drumbeat, with PR precision (I watched it in many cases; his image always superposed next to burning buildings; his name always scrolled next to riots or violence), while the opposing party said they would block his every move to make him a one term president. You are being completely obtuse to think Obama was a sole actor in divisiveness somehow. It just doesn't match any objective view of the data of the last 9 years.

I know there's no changing your mind, but if one or two neurons in there can hear external input, give it a moment of thought.

Just talking in general. It would be nice if for once someone saw a group of people angry about something sit back and go "I wonder what they are angry about?"

Instead we get "Paid for!" and "Liberals are stupid!" and other non-sense. Then we'll get "Where is the unity!?"

It's like Trump supporters wanting to ban people based on a religion and complaining about unity.

Are you equating these people to all the protesters?

I never suggested that he did, I was just pointing out to you that 60 million people voting against you isn't really significant.....or at least you weren't hyping it that way when that many voted against the Obama.

Yeah....you really are hoping for it because if it doesn't happen it'll spell doom for left wing politics.

It's okay, I know that some will keep the childish temper tantrum up, but if the Republicans end up getting some good things done without an ideologue in the white house opposed to everything they want to do, then the upset little kids won't matter.

If we were talking about mature adults, then I'm sure they'd wait till Trump actually tried to do something they disagree with....but we're not talking about mature adults legitimately protesting. This is 100% a temper tantrum and it's pretty embarrassing.

So they're protesting over popular vote vs. electoral college? That might be even more idiotic.

Oh please, we've had racists invade this board and I've seen many posters on the board that are conservative say absolutely nothing about those posters.

I've seen conservative officials say racist things and nothing still.

Scalia basically said black people are too dumb for certain universities. conservatives hailed him. Please stop with that.

You can unite people who don't even have any idea what compromise looks like or what they want.

I mean, hell if Trump actually tries to strip people of their rights then I'll be right out there with them protesting, but until he actually does something then there's nothing really to protest. Right now it just comes off as a temper tantrum thrown because they are stupid millennials that are too mentally weak to deal with results they don't like.

You tried to deflect and call them idiots who didn't vote, when there's no way you could have known whether they did or did not vote. Plus, even if they had voted, their vote wouldn't have mattered at all because the states that they were in went blue.

This is what I'm scared off happening. Clinton supporters are acting a little to ridiculous. But I also don't know how trump supporters would of acted either

I showed my black roommate this video and his response was "*****s need to chill out"

See, I really don't care if people protested against Obama or whatever the hell they want to protest against.

Upset little kids huh? Yep. This certainly helps unity. What do they have to wait on? They've heard what he's had to say and it was pretty damn divisive.

They are actually pretty clear about what they are protesting about if you'd listen. But you won't so you'll remain confused.

They have to wait on something to actually protest because right now it's just a temper tantrum. When it comes to unity, those aren't the people that matter. The angry little kids in the street are irrelevant, they'll grow up one day probably. The people who matter are the mature adults in this country....and they certainly aren't out in the street having a b**** fit because their candidate lost an election.

I'm by no means a fan of Trump, I was VERY outspoken against him, but now that he's been elected I plan on waiting till he actually does something wrong to start bashing him.

Oh good, the anecdotal single youtube video argument-winner. Goodnight, guys. SMDH.

We can play that game forever, especially with videos of Trump supporters. Gets us nowhere.

But anyway, have fun pinning the nations problems on a few protestors while the GOP has the keys to the car and a full tank of gas. The adults will be watching to see what they do with our country.

And Bobby, I'll hold you too that promise to protest if you see those kinds of moves from a Trump presidency. I'll be out there protesting with you.

Cheers, y'all. Try to be tolerant of those with different views, if you actually love your country. God knows, I always try.

Which shows you some aren't paying attention to the news they claim to be following. Saying things like "They should have voted then!"

You had people chanting in Spanish in L.A chanting "I will not live in fear." and then you have people here going. "But what are they protesting about though?"

I listed to quite a bit of streams from protests. I heard "Black lives matter" for some reason, I heard "**** Trump" (and variants), I heard people calling for a revolution, I heard people just hanging out. They really didn't have much coherent to say.

Trust me, I will be. I was #NeverTrump before it was even a thing. Hell I'd have voted Hillary over him.....and if Hillary was elected, I'd be urging those on the right to wait until she actually does something wrong to start throwing fit about it so that it isn't just being salty about losing.

Again it is very clearly an anti-Trump protest. I don't get how that isn't a valid reason for protest for you. People don't like the guy.

Bernie has been calling for a revolution and other progressives for a while, they could be referencing that. BLM could be referencing that he's for stop and frisk. F Trump chants because it is an anti-trump protest. If you read social media it's clearly a "Don't F with us." protest. Afterall, most of it was in New York around Trump so it was a protest to Trump...who spent months of spewing dangerous and hateful rhetoric.
