I don't know, how many privileges would it take before you'd let your mother be raped, your father castrated, your little brother hung, your grandfathered sold away, etc. and any who were lucky enough to be together worked to the bone in a field until they died.

That's not any different from Africa. Black Americans are lucky that's generally over now. That's still happening to Africans right now.

 

So your answer is that you would subject your family to that to ensure a good life for yourself.

What does that have to do with the poster also relaying a (disturbing) personal story? Seriously don't get it.

It's strange because I see people on FB and twitter talking about how God had spoken. God wanted a leader who pledged to commit war crimes, intentionally kill civilian women and children, disrespect women, etc. I'm going to try and keep my religion as far away from Trump as possible.

I don't agree with evangelicals hitching their wagon to the Trump train. He embodies everything the bible says not to be. But I don't think evangelicals came out to vote for Trump because of him, they did so despite him because of the high stakes involved with which candidate was going to appoint the next Supreme Court Justices.

The evangelical vote turnout to vote for Trump, I believe was purely about the Supreme Court. My personal view is that the much of the church just made a deal with the devil because they were afraid of what might happen on abortion and LBGTQ issues if they didn't support Trump. I get it....I just don't agree that's a deal you make....ever. The christians in this video, I hope are only a small minority of the Church. Because the rationale in this video is not only theologically misguided, it's incredibly short sighted in terms of what the Church's primary mandate is.

It's important to know this....as one of the pastors at a mega church, it's becoming clearer as I debate with leaders of other churches that the Church as a whole is deeply divided on issues like this which, for me, is more disturbing and painful than anything else.
