The racist and misogynist utter BS gets really old. You can keep posting it and may even be warped enough to believe it but that does not make it true.

We can keep posting evidence of KKK supporting Trump, questionable words that have come out of his own mouth, and a plethora of other varied kinds of evidence and the right would deny it, you are indeed correct.

So the SCOTUS will remain conservative and small businesses will no longer be burdened by Obamacare....I kind of doubt that's worth freaking out on this level. I have always been very anti-Trump but people are making asses of themselves now.

I suppose it's only fair to give them a few days to get it out of their system, but it's ridiculous.

At multiple times you called Trump worse than Hillary Clinton, now all of a sudden Trump won't do anything other than keep the SC conservative and repeal Obamacare. If that was really the case, you'd have been a Trump supporter all along.

I think you're being way too dismissive of Trump voters. Yes there are racists and sexists among them but ask yourself why did voters who voted for Obama twice decide to vote for Trump. And don't just say racism or sexism because there's a deeper story.

Hillary Clinton never made a coherent pitch for how she would improve the economic security for rural America (particularly the rust belt). She made some arguments like increasing the minimum wage but Trump made the arguments that were old school Democratic postiions. He lashed out on trade deals (which was Democratic staple until the 90s) and he forcefully made the argument that he would fight for the working class in the rust belt.

Clinton's style of center left pragmatism just doesn't resonate. People want to know that their being lead by someone who will fight for them and Trump clearly won that battle. You can argue that he's full of hot air but that's really not the point. Politics is largely about messaging and Trump made the right message to the right group of voters.

Democrats need a reminder that their coalition extends beyond urban liberals and minorities. Democrats have a tendancy to write off the rural working class in the Midwest (note that this same constituency in the South is very different) but they're still a natural Democratic constituency. Clinton managed to win states like California and New York with larger margins than Obama did but in the end that does you no good.

I think the larger question is where does the Democratic Party go from here. There needs to be some soul searching about where the party stands and how to manage the coalition. Even Obama had trouble with this reality in that he couldn't actually get people to vote down ballot which is the larger challenge for the party.

I think he is worse than Hillary. I was banking on Hillary working with the Republican majority Congress in order to get positive things done. I'm still worried about Trump's mouth and his temperament, but I have no doubt that policy will be written by GOP leaders, not Trump.

Me pointing out the potential positives of Trump winning doesn't change how I feel about him. He's an absolute scumbag who is the living embodiment of everything wrong with our culture in America.

To a certain extent, but it's been SOOO over the top and it's not like Hillary was a vastly better candidate. I guess I just got most of my freaking out done once I realized one of those two national embarrassments was going to be president so I'm pretty much past it.

From a liberal point of view though, the fact that Trump is a loose canon who can self-destruct and will say anything at any point is worrisome by itself, but then you have to add to it now the disagreements on policy. That's a double whammy. If a Joe Schmoe Republican like Rubio had won liberals would be disappointed but not freaking out because at least someone like him is seemingly a stable human being with some relevant experience. Trump is not a typical Republican candidate. He has no experience in politics at all and we are giving him the most difficult job in the world with the most power.

Yeah, 60 million Americans are racists and misogynists... it had nothing to do with Hillary's extremely shady, and illegal past.

Because Obama wasn't a liar, cheat and crook exposed by WikiLeaks for the fraud he is. Hillary was.

Agreed, as I did with Obama before him - I will give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise.

And Californians are hoping to leave the country. What a bunch of babies... get knocked down, and roll around on the ground kicking and screaming like two year olds. Get out of your safe rooms and fight back, ya pansies.

When was the last time a President is able to do everything he claims he was going to do when they were running? If you'll remember, Obama promised to be the most open administration ever, and to protect whistle blowers. Meanwhile, he had the most closed administration ever, and did anything but protect whistle blowers.

You mean, kinda like the left denying the fact that Hillary was a liar, a cheat, and a criminal who conspired with the DNC and the media to defeat both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump?

I'm sorry I don't care a single bit where the Democratic party or the Republic party go from there. I care that the people of America the strongest country in the world have voted for a person of the worst qualities and gave him the most power an individual could wield.
This person will have access to nuke codes and will be a factor in shaping world politics. Enough said.

As for being dismissive I'm sorry but in the end YOU bear the responsibllity. If you are not racist then you wouldn't condone racism in your choice for president. You wouldn't condone sexism.
I'ts like saying oh I voted for Mussolini but I'm NOT fascist. Right...Every single Trump voter is responsible.
