Yep. I voted for Clinton. I'll tell you why and I'd tell you I'd vote for her again. I won't blame the GOP for having her as the democratic nominee.

For some Democrats are the be blamed for EVERYTHING. Apparently even to blame for Trump being elected. I guess just setting up the blame if things go horribly for the next 4 years. No one else to blame though, GOP has all the power for the next 4 years.

Democrats should have distanced themselves from Clinton long ago. That's the problem your party has. That family is nothing but scandal after scandal.

Bill had the charisma to get past it though. Where they went wrong is thinking that Hillary could do the same.

Voting for her again is the problem as you didn't learn anything. Democrats should be blamed for having to cry now. You can't enter the Indy 500 with a car with a blown head gasket. Your candidate was under 2 FBI investigations for Christ Sake.

Trump is going to stand trial this month for Trump U. What is your point here? You're changing the goalpost here, how is it MY fault for Trump being elected when I didn't vote for him?

I was fully prepared to accept defeat.

Obamacare came at the right time.

That's why in a lot of ways Obama got Trump elected by being a failure.

You are an underappreciated minority, then.

The entire Trump machine was predicated on everything being "rigged" and his base was ate up with every single Alex Jones conspiracy theory that fell out of that lunatic's skull.

If these results had been flipped, there would likely be no concession speech and graceful exit or peaceful transition of power. Trump would be filing lawsuits and his followers would be screaming for revolution.

That's really scary to think about, especially for 2020.

Funny that Obama referenced a baton handoff in a relay race, when that is the one thing the Americans suck at in the Olympics every single time.

I'm not saying you should be sympathetic...just as I'm not saying I would like to strip your family of coverage. I'm just saying the system needs to be re-worked. Both candidates said as much along with everyone else so I'm not saying anything new. The money has to come from somewhere to support insuring most Americans and obviously rates are going to increase for everyone especially when it comes to insuring people with pre-existing medical conditions. I'd rather they budget money for it from what we pay already for federal taxes instead of sticking it to us every year. But, a lot of that money is just going elsewhere, like building new bombs to drop on Syria and Iraq in a never-ending war. Every person here is entitled to their own opinion based on their own situation and how it impacts them. I'm interested what they are going to do to fix it and make it better...not get rid of it entirely. Obamacare will become Trumpcare.

    Trump fought MSM and won.

Trump could repeal Obamacare, repair relations with Russia(Trump winning has already caused Russia to publically reach out and basically shake hands), get rid of common core and stop American companies from leaving the US via his proposed tariff and he would win 2020 easily.

Obama had thrown a proverbial alley oop to Trump to repeat 2020. He messed up bad.

Trump can focus the next 4 years on picking up after Obama and be seen as a hero in America.

So all that gloating about the death of the Republican party was nothing but wishful thinking, right? Hopefully you and several others learned something from this election.

I also believe ACA should be fixed. Unfortunately, that isn't on the republican/Trump agenda. Even after ACA passed... the republicans avoided even considering pre-existing conditions. Instead, the sole focus has been ending ACA completely. Trump ran on that platform, so I doubt he backs out now.

He could, but what is he replacing it with?

Better relations with Russia is nice...but what does that mean for the baltic states? If Russia gets more aggressive with them what does Trump do? Sit by and let Russia do what it wants or does he stand up to Russia?

Yes, getting rid of things sounds good in theory but they need to be replaced. If what he replaces is a failure then 2020 is an easy defeat.

Remember, more people voted for Clinton last night. Do not forget that. Many people will start of as unfavorable against Trump, he has an uphill battle to change that in just 4 years. I don't think we've ever elected such an unfavorable president. I think he will have an uphill battle for 2020.

Yup, the republican party didn't die after all... it was saved by its knight in shining arnor, Donal Trump. Who now is both the face and the voice of the republican party. No, it didn't die... glad you've embraced your party and leader.

Trump got fewer votes than Mitt Romney and John McCain.

He didn't save/revive the Republican party.

    Hillary Clinton killed the Democrats.

Obama's failures as president went a long way towards killing the Democrats too. His signature bill played a big part in sinking that ship.

I predict the Democrats will roll out one of these anti-Trump options next election.
    * An older folksy moderate, a safe comfortable pick
    * A Trudeau clone playing the young Prince Charming role, a woman candidate not the only way to win the women's vote
    * Recruit Jill Stein

I said it before and I'll say it again. Republicans blaming Trump's victory on Obama has got to be the weirdest damn thing I have ever seen. Truly an astounding bit of mental gymnastics to absolve themselves of any responsibility for the great orange revolution.

It's just a fact. The failure of Obamacare was an issue in this race. Hillary ran on doubling down on that failed mess Trump ran on getting rid of it. He got votes that way. If Obama was a better president, he'd have put Hillary in a better spot. He wasn't.
