He's still learning the system. He is averaging 22.3 ppg, 12 RPG, and shooting 68% during the last four games. That's pretty good by any standard.
I was told he was finished and totally on the decline and that we could get what Dwight provided from Capela at a fraction of the cost and a fraction of the drama and non cancerous
a team that builds around dwight will go nowhere. dwight went somewhere where he could put up numbers. as long as he gets his numbers he won't be a diva or be disinterested lol.
A team that built around Dwight went to the finals... You can't say any of his future teams outside of Atlanta really tried to feature him as a centerpiece of the team.
Dwight didn't do anything for us last season and missing him the season prior really had little to no impact on our overall record. He was great in the playoffs for the most part. I liked him as a person. He's still a good player and very productive but this is a situation where both sides are better going separate ways. Pretty obvious win win here.
Dwight and Atlanta look good. Dwight content with just getting rebounds and blocks makes me jealous.. I was holding out hope Dwight would be garbage this year, but he doesn't care about his touches... time to stop watching this thread..
Dwight eating boards. We could have used his rebounding.... But still a cancer and Capela has made Dwight Howard obsolete
yep, they guy eats up rebounds. And really changes opponents' shots with his presence. glad we're rid of him.
He had a good start with us too (also playing pretty good against his former team at the time (Lakers)). Just wait until they lose a few in a row & he starts complaining about his touches.
He's playing well because that organization sold him on something he believes in. This organization failed to deliver on its promises over the course of the contract. This organization didn't have a strong coach that knew how to position the role in a meaningful way. No doubt he's an elite rebounder and can make an impact on defense in the right scheme.
Dwight must really love that the media is now ignoring him. Nobody is screaming for him to have more points.. to dominate..
Dwight has changed a ton of things for the Hawks in this early season. Horford had 11 total rebounds in entire (!) Cavs series last season, Dwight outrebounded both Love and Thompson last night while playing only 26 minutes He's rebounding numbers are the best of his career so far. 18.9% on offensive boards, 32.3% on defensive boards. 25.7% on both boards, highest number of his career by far, best block percentage of his career. 91.6 Defensive Rating with 111.7 Offensive Rating, -9.3% on DFG%. His PER numbers are third best of his career at 24.5 Sick. Sample isn't huge, but those numbers are still insane
