I am not gloating over a Trump win. I voted for him but only for the SCOTUS implications. I can't stand the guy but he is better than Hillary or Obama but that is not saying much.
My fear isn't that we won't find our way back to humanity - it's how many casualties there will be before we get there.
The Clinton campaign is basically hanging on by a thread at this point. She needs to pull out Michigan and Pennsylvania and then hit one of two scenarios: 1. Win Alaska and New Hampshire or 2. win Arizona. That’s going to be extremely difficult. It’s not impossible, but it’s a straight, if not royal, flush.
I voted for Bush both times and I voted for Trump. Each time, I voted for the lesser of two evils IMHO. I have no problem admitting I voted for either of them. I was a Cruz supporter during the primaries and for a while I was #nevertrump until I realized the alternative was Hillary.
Good, at least say you voted for him. You can't blame democrats for anything that happens next, you voted for him.
I can't even define my emotions right now. I'm a #NeverTrump conservative, and I'm pleased that Hillary isn't going to win and nominate her own Supreme Court people. But at the same time, I'm horrified by Trump and his crazy trade and immigration positions, and I'm more than a little concerned about the Republican sweep. If it means anything, there's a decent chance that the Republican Party remains somewhat fragmented and Trump won't get a free pass to do whatever he wants.
If you think we'd have had the Iraq war if Gore had won, I don't know what to tell you. 9/11 did change things. Who won the election also changed things. They both did.
This is crazy. This explains why she went back to PA yesterday to continue to campaign there, even though she was fully expected to win. This really confused a lot of people. Im really starting to believe Trump and Clinton both had numbers that were very different than what the media presented.
While disappointed with the results, it's been a pleasure complaining/venting/posting with all of you folks tonight. Yes, even RocketsLegend.
I'm a Pa voter. This explains why I've received literally about 50 spam texts about voting in the last week. About 10 of them mentioned Hillary specifically. None mentioned Trump.
Remember when SamFisher claimed that Hillary and Democrats wouldn't need to look at 3rd party candidates or learn anything from them because the few votes they got wouldn't make a difference. Well the 5% of Bernie voters who didn't support Hillary and the Jill Stein votes would have given Hillary Florida. Those votes would have secured PA, WI, MI, and NH for Hillary as well. Maybe next time the party will actually look at what they could do to appeal to those voters. It would have made the difference in this election.
