In the US, the presidential election is a joke. To me it doesn't matter who wins because literally nothing changes in my life. The only real change is wealthy individuals and corporations pay less taxes when Republicans are in office. Maybe there are more wars (which also do not effect me).

Why do people care about presidents in the US? I count the months until election season is over because US politics is a joke and the idiots are the loudest ones. Trump won and

    tl;dr

its not the president , its the sentiment it inspires. Particularly our friendly white supremacists. You have people, even on this forum dropping the "N" word already pretty casually.

Yeah, who the President is doesn't matter at all. I'd be paying higher health insurance premiums under McCain-Care either way. He would have passed the same exact fiscal stimulus package and chosen to withdraw US military forces from Iraq as well.

lol why do you even need health insurance? just use that money to eat fresh and healthy. people always respond well what if you get cancer and to that my answer is, well, youre ****ed. but eating healthy helps prevent that. also, not smoking, drinking or popping pills like theyre m and ms helps.

and iraq makes no difference to me. there werent any nukes there, remember?

One party controlling all branches of government with at least one and possibly 3 Supreme Court appointments on the horizon isn't a good outcome. We want the parties to negotiate. We want a "balanced" court. The current GOP will run roughshod over everything with their power, should they attain it.

There are 2 things a president can do that actually effect me:
    1) Help pass a bill that raises taxes on the working class - good luck with that with the current high tax rates the middle class won't let it happen
    2) Start a war that results in a severe recession and causes many to lose their jobs.

I don't see either happening, so if the rich want to be taxed less then I don't care. Roosevelt got us after the depression and he was the last president that accomplished something great. JFK is my favorite president and tried to do great things. Clinton and Obama were okay, and that's all you can hope for. Either they're okay or they suck.
