Pomegranates are not only aphrodisiacs, but the favorite fruit of Aphrodite. I'm sure the exotic King Ezekiel was well aware of the erotic symbolism of offering Carol one, while visiting her with his chained beast at his side.
what happened? I saw nothing that made me get this reaction, but then again i was flipping from sunday night to TWD. What was the polaroid of?
it was a picture of a swimsuit model so he can fulfill his needs by himself. increases the psychological effect of the torture. the goyim human mind can only take so much. bad sectors need to be relieved.
I couldn't tell what was on the Polaroid either so i assumed it was Glenn. Can anyone else confirm what was on the polaroid?
It was completely obvious what the picture was if you were paying attention to what sh_tface was saying to Daryl. Also, it ties back to the guy in the season premiere taking the Polaroid of Glenn. But, damn was that episode boring. Necessary but boring. I wouldn't have done it exclusively all on Daryl. But, it's how the show operates and we know that by now. I guess we're finally going to flash over to Rick and company next episode and it will be like 15 minutes since they drove away from Lucille Road.
but it wasnt obvious to a mr. tmac'n, a contributing member who has a picture of morey in what looks like a precursor to him performing cunnilingus on what i presume to be a lovely young lady, or at least i hope it is.
That's a pic of Morey putting in work, and setting up on our next big trade or free agent signing. Next up is DMo
Imagine if GOT had an entire episode dedicated to torturing Theon and turning him into Reek, but at the end of the episode Theon is still Theon.... (basically we just watched an hour of torture for nothing, but proving Daryl is loyal for the time being). TWD is totally over the top now and just becoming a parody of itself now. There is nothing left interesting in this show. This whole Negan storyline is incredibly pointless and boring. We've already had the Governor storyline which is the same repetition but with a different villain. This one just having way less subtlety and viewer perspective. Jeff Dean Morgan is a good actor but this character is very VERY poorly written. The Governor at least had some decent writing and nuance even though it was an annoying character after a few episodes. TWD really now has to be binge watched because that's the only way to watch the show where things move at an interesting pace. Watching week by week is really really bogging me down with this show. With all the great stuff on TV now, its shocking myself and others are still waiting... and hoping this show turns it around. My guess is it becomes worse, and doubles down on its formula.
This is exactly how I feel... except with the caveat that I still like the show and look forward to it. I don't like the tact they have taken, how slow the episodes have been - even the season opener was slow, just got away with it because of the suspense - how they are spending entire episodes on a couple character story lines, etc. It seems like it will probably be to give a couple of characters more screen time for their envisioned many more seasons. Eg. Dwight, Ezekial... but you'd think they could do that while still mixing it up. Episode 2 and 3 should have been combined into one, really.... and it still would have been a slow episode..
not sure how interesting this is to others: but did anyone notice the pregnant women in the cold opening ,,, I suppose wife of #39, about 7-8 months along. So, maybe we will eventually find out if you can have babies or if they eat their way out. Oh, and here's Paul Weller. “Better stop dreaming of the quiet life ‘cause it’s the one we’ll never know,” ... Pretty much what Negan told Rick in ep01
Yeah I understand why they have the "character centric" episodes. It was a good idea back in season 3 I think when they started doing it with the Woodbury plot when the cast became large and broken up. However when more than half your episodes are single character episodes, its overkill and slows down the plot to a screeching halt. What it tells me is they are trying to stretch out as much of their storyline as they can. Whose next to get their own episode... While good shows like Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones play the end game of their story and really built to a true climax, The Walking Dead goes for the never-ending Soap Opera model.
Not trying to be condescending or being sarcastic, but what are you guys watching that is miles better than this show? I know most everyone loves GoT (me being 1 of them), but it isn't on right now. Again, not trying to be a jackass, seriously asking this question to see what I'm missing. I'm already watching WW.
Here's what I've watched recently in its entirety up to this point- (or what I've had time for other the past couple years) WW (as you stated) GOT Stranger Things Bloodline The Americans Silicon Valley House of Cards The Night Of Veep Better Call Saul Fargo (maybe highest quality show on my list here) All are dramatically better in all areas, especially production & writing. And then there are the historically great shows that are off-air- Breaking Bad The Wire Sopranos Deadwood Mad Men Band of Brothers/Pacific Some of these titles really spoil us when they come and go. But the one thing they do is they really make The Walking Dead seem like a B Level show at best. If you watch network shows I guess TWD is pretty awesome, but I guess we are getting spoiled nowadays... especially with On-demand where you can go watch an entire series like the Wire when you have a break between good shows.
