It's hard to be passionate about this team

This will definitely take some time to get going on good run. I am looking forward to seeing this team become a team that will makes us proud. Still need a true PF after all these years.

Should I become bitter and complain nonstop like a whiny girl about the team as you do instead?

Fans have very little ability to impact a team. Les is gonna continue to do whatever he wants. I don't like it. But my time and energy being upset about that is a waste.

I watch basketball for the entertainment. I like when the Rockets win. If they're not winning it's not as entertaining. Postseason success is the ultimate entertainment. I'm not gonna become grumpy and not enjoy the time in the meantime though.

My advice to you is to stay calm and pretend to be passionate until we find the corner and once we turn it, passion will come naturally.

There has only two games where you can say they bombed and it was not " entertaining". Last nights game was insipid effort. There was no life in the team outside of Harden and even he went MIA after the half.

If you weren't passionate about this team, you wouldn't be here typing up how you feel. I'd rather watch the Rockets play than anything else on TV or the net. Real talk. Sucks when they lose but I don't lose my cool over it. This year has been much better so far than the debacle which was last year.

Harden is on another level this year .
I cringe when Ariza or Brewer shoot. Ryno is underachieving but he's being defended well. EG and KJ playing well. Capela not there yet. We need a rim protector. Bogut would have been a nice pick-up.

50 wins is also a stretch.

We're not turning the corner until we get on the same page.

And we're not getting on the same page if we keep forgetting where we put our legs every road trip.

I don't even get mad when we lose. I sort of accept it or expect it. That's what tells me something is wrong.

Our record is meaningless. Thus far, we have beaten dogcrap teams. I can't get excited about that. Better than losing to those teams but seriously, it's shameful how bad the defense is. And he's, Bogut would have been a difference maker. Heck, Asik would be a difference maker.

wait....Bogut would be a "difference maker" in your passion for the Rockets?

One thing about being a Rockets fan is, some how, we do always seems to avoid picking up dirty players I hate.

I'm soooo freaking grateful for that...and for passing on Bogut, or I'd be the one who started this thread.

This is the typical Houston sports fan everyone. I assume you leave with the Rockets down 5 with 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, don't you?

No, I hate bogut as a person. But he would make the team significantly better. It's tough, deciding between watching YMCA level defense every night or trying to stomach Bogut in a Rockets jersey. I guess I know how much I hate watching dogpoo defense and am willing to stomach Bogut. But you make a fair point. It's just a sad state of affairs.

We also need to go "full-boat"

"The biggest thing is I have more confidence in what I'm doing and in trying to do it better," D'Antoni said. "Instead of tip-toeing in the water, I'm diving in the water. We're going in full-boat, we're going in 100 percent instead of tip-toeing."

I had season tickets for several years, never left early, watched every second of every game for years. I freaking wrote notes on a paper napkin when season ticket holders had special access to Morey or Mchale, just so I could post as much intel as Possible to share with the brethren here. You haven't been around CF long enough to know, so I'll not be so irritated with your statement.

Yet you "lose passion"? Your fandom is a joke to say the least.

Did we even go after Bogut? People talked about it, but I don't actually recall. I thought it happened so fast, maybe we would have, but GSW had to unload him too fast for us to even be in the game, right? Or we just didn't care.

He doesn't shoot, and doesn't really roll. Good high post passer though...and yeah, the defense and rebounding, except for the fact he cheats and grabs and pushes illegally.

I loved Artest when he was here. Those were some good times. Teams worth living and dying for.
