James has been playing all-world offense besides the careless turnovers. He's already posted THREE 30pts/15asts games this season. The NBA record is SIX.

    Magic ('87) - 6
    Stockton ('90) - 4
    Curry ('14) - 4
    ..
    Harden ('17) - 3

Magic didn't record his first until December. Curry only had two before April.

*Saw this stat during the HOU-ATL game. I'm guessing the numbers post-70's as Big O probably achieved it multiple, multiple times.

It's nice and all but... after a while it's just too overwhelming to think about. The question arises in my head: who cares? It's all for nothing. This franchise is pissing his prime years down the drain, it's unreal.

We are not winning a championship this year. The mda hire sealed that. We do not care about defense. And it shows.

So since we got nothing else to look forward to this is what I will be watching to get me through the season.

Harden really is an amazing player. Unfortunatly the organisation does not care for a championship (read les). So we are wasting his prime years.

And don't forget, MDA said the defense is pretty much set, and there's still more work to do with the offense.

So, think of all the stats we could set for the criteria Highest Whateva for team with the league's worst Drtg
    • Harden could be first 50/40/90 player for league's worst Drtg team
    • Most Wins for league's worst Drtg
    • Only 40% 3Fg shooting team for .,,
But who knows, maybe stats like this can change Harden's image helping Morey attract star free agents like Horford who otherwise would refuse us.

I don't mind watching Harden's individual brilliance. The team is flawed and is not going to win a championship this year.

Exactly, this team was never going to win a championship (unless something spectacular happens before the trade deadline).

However it would be a consolation to know that we had the best player in the league this season.

    Nice thought....

My research is showing, it's never happened. I would think bet Big O, Magic, or Wilt came the closest, but basketball-reference only shows game-by-game assist stats since '83.

Right now, research says the most notable games are...

Isiah Thomas - 47/17 -- Triple OT, and the highest combined scoring game in NBA history 370 total points. Game featured four 40-point scorers.
    Chris Paul - 41/17
    LeBron - 43/15, triple-double with 13 rebounds - 40/16
    Magic - 38/16
    Jordan - 47-13, triple-double with 11 rebounds - 34-17
    Kobe - 36-14

    - Stockton never went 30/20.
    - Magic had about twenty-five 20-assist games
    - Didn't see any 20-assist games from Jordan

I wouldn't be surprised if Harden achieved it, especially in MDA's system. Would be great for James, the Rockets, and the city.

James is just on another level right now. He started the game looking like it just wasn't his night and then all of a sudden he just turned it on.

It's almost like i'll be disappointed if he dosent get his nightly 30-15. That is how well he is balling. It's a given now. The norm.

I think those 2 bad plays near the end were a result of them trying to force the ball to harden. He prob Kept asking for it.. just couldn't execute. Almost cost us

If he didn't make the 3rd team all NBA last season, he would be eligible for Most Improved Player right? lol

Lol if he doesn't make an all NBA squad and he keeps up his current statistical pace it would be the worst snub in sports history .

Four 30/15 games in seven games played! It's unreal! If James keeps playing at anywhere near this level and the Rockets win somewhere close to 50 games, you'd have to think free agents would line up to play with him.

Morey, you better not waste Harden's prime. It's time to earn your money and get 3 players that would put this team in contention with the way Harden is playing. 1) We need a big man who eats boards for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 2) Another 3 and D perimeter player. 3) A bench ball handling creator, fack you Llull your dumbass would have been perfect. Please Morey get it down, I don't care if it costs picks.

I agree but realistically speaking who is there? I've stated numerous time Tyson at the C spot would be fantastic with Clint backing him up but what 3 and D player could Morey possibly obtain for the minimal assists if any we have? I badly want Morey to do something but I'm fully expecting this team to never reach the WCF under Harden. All in all I think Morey has his hands tied.
