At first I felt bad for DMO with the pistons trade being vetoed and no team showing and interest, but if the rockets are really offering him 7-8m a yr on a multi year deal and he still won't sign? Well you got bad advisors brother.

I like DMOs game and think he would be a good "backup" for this team. If Ariza is making 8m and bev is making 6m, then dmo you should already know what kind of deal your going to to get. honestly it's a lot higher than any team in the NBA or overseas is going to offer you by at least 3-4m a yr.

I'm really not sure what this guy is holding out for? His play from two years ago even if healthy doesn't warrant that much more than 8m a yr and the fact he is coming off major injury, didn't play well when he came back and on top of that it took longer than everyone thought not to mention he had to be shelved for additional games after he did come back, does not work in his favor.

Take the money get back on the court with your teammates and prove to yourself that your really underpaid because really it's starting to look like even he's not sure what his back is going to be like moving forward.

Nothing wrong with being cautious. But being 'hesitant or easier to push around' isn't a symptom of a bad back, more like not being in game shape.

i guess he's expecting the kind of money that other mediocre free agents are getting. he hasn't been healthy for what, 2 season? as big of a fan that i am of him, i wouldn't give him more than what was offered either.

I think the problem/hold up is that he wants guaranteed deal and Rockets may not be offering that unless I missed something. Pretty much no Team option.

And it could just as easily to mean his core muscles have not fully rehabbed. His string of bad games that follows 1-2 good games could also means his back pains flared up. The point I am making is that none of us know how D-Mo's back is with the limited sample size he's provided or how it will hold up to the rigors of NBA life going forward. This is why his trade was rescinded due to a failed physical done by REAL DOCTORS and this is why he hasn't received an offer that he wants by ANY team. D-Mo needs to prove that he can stay consistently productive before teams are willing to take a real chance on him.

T _ones with the start and stuffing the stat sheet with 19/7/5/4 on 9/14 shooting and still overtime to go.

On a day when we heard DMo could be out of the NBA before T _ones and you talk about DNP-CD's for the T _ones, he ends up starting and stuffing that stat sheet

I think that's wishful thinking but I'd love to be proven wrong if we do keep him.

    Bad advisors, agents, friends etc...
    Is not an excuse.
The only one that can sign the contract is DMo.
It is ultimately up to him.
We knox Rockets have made him offers.

Thanks for pointing that out. Now it makes sense why he is holding out. I bet the team option is the deal breaker.

With the team option, he can't really "prove himself" and get big money next year. If he played well, he'd be locked with mediocre money for another year. If he played bad or injured, he'd be dropped with nothing.

I can see it now. DMo all amped up in his first game back, going whirling dervish on his spin moves and stealing a pass for a 1 on 1 fastbreak dribbling too fast, tripping and falling like Dekker.

Media story next day, "Is 7 Seconds or Less too fast for the Rockets white PFs".

I feel bad for Dmo. He should be getting 10+mil per in the nba nowadays, considering some injury prone like Parsons who had two knee surgeries within two years getting a four-year 94million max contract.

I know you are nothing more than a mindless troll, but I'll go ahead and pretend that isn't the case by giving you a serious response to a stupid post. I'm happy for Jones, he's been terrible all year and was literally the worst PF in the NBA last season. I'm glad that he had a good game. I'm also glad that he's not on the Rockets anymore meaning that he's not their problem anymore.

If he continues to have a good game every 5th or 6th game in between absolutely terrible games then he might be worth the league minimum that they are paying him.

I hope T Jones puts up some stats though since I just picked him up in my fantasy league!
